**Strategic Financing Services - Open Access Fellow** The Strategic Financing Services team at Cherry Bekaert (SFS) is looking for an Open Access Fellow to join the SFS team. We offer an opportunity to work with a team of experts with a deep track record in New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation applications, Historic Tax Credit (HTC) and NMTC placement and deployment, and NMTC compliance and asset management services. **Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Work with the Project Finance team to help identify, evaluate, and manage a pipeline of NMTC, and other community development finance, opportunities
+ Help Collect, package, and manage due diligence on potential borrowers and Project Sponsors
+ Develop marketing materials to present to CDEs and investors
+ Support meetings with CDEs to better identify the best project financing match
+ Update, maintain, and optimize multiple databases housed in Smartsheet and Microsoft Dynamics
+ Work with Management Services team to learn accounting entries; analysis of financial statements and quarterly financial statements for CDEs, Sub-CDEs, and QALICBs
+ Assist with providing information for annual audits of CDEs, Sub-CDEs, and QALICBs
+ Assist with loan servicing and asset management activities for loan portfolio
+ Collect and provide quarterly financial analysis of project-level financial statements
+ Work with the SFS team and The Innovate Fund (our affiliated CDE) to support event logistics, including board meeting preparation and conference attendee outreach

The Department of Human Oncology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking applicants for the Bentson Fellowship (translational laboratory research training) in Radiation Oncology. The Department of Human Oncology (DHO) is an interdisciplinary department within the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health with missions of clinical service, research and education. The DHO fosters excellence in state-of? the-art cancer treatment, teaching as well as basic, translational and clinical research.
The fellowship will emphasize Radiation Oncology translational research at the level of 80-90% commitment. In addition, Bentson fellows will have the opportunity to pursue effort focused on clinical activities including clinical and procedural practice and the design and execution of clinical trials that relate to radiation oncology.
Candidates will have a strong interest in academic medicine and demonstrate a commitment to translational cancer research in radiation oncology. Candidates with particular talent and productivity in writing original material (research manuscripts and protocols) are encouraged to apply. The Galin Education fellowship program provides high achieving recent college graduates with an opportunity to work closely with high school students and their families as they go through school and the college admissions process. Galin Fellows commit to one or two years with the organization providing tutoring, coaching, and mentoring to high school students, in mostly one-on-one environments.
Fellows spend about half of their day working directly with students, helping them to learn content and strategies for standardized admissions exams (ACT/SAT), tutoring them in math, science, or foreign languages, and/or working with them to develop better executive functioning and study skills. Specific topics to be explored include: 1) Factors regulating the growth and fate of benthic algae; 2) The influence of invasive species (dreissenids, round goby) on nearshore trophic structure and energy flow; 3) The response of the nearshore benthic community to dreissenid mussel removal; 4) The influence of weather and climate (including lake levels) on nearshore ecosystem dynamics. Position Summary
Under the direction of a Principal Investigator, further develops and expands understanding of scientific theory in his/her area of interest. Incumbent also learns and applies scientific laboratory techniques and gains experience in other areas of research that will lead to increased probability of success as an independent scientist. This is a training position with an expected duration of 1 - 3 years.
We are interested in a chronic inflammatory disease called atherosclerosis, which is the leading cause of death in the developed countries. Atherosclerosis is characterized by atherosclerotic plaques in the medium and large arteries and the major components of the plaques are lipid-laden innate immune cells called macrophages. Using a variety of genetically modified mice as in vivo animal models together with in vitro cell culture model and many biochemical techniques, we study the molecular mechanisms underlying the pro-atherogenic functions of the macrophages.
We are also using novel state-of-the-art technologies including single cell RNA sequencing, high resolution confocal microscopy, Seahorse extracellular flux metabolic assays, GC-MS, and so on to explore cell expression network that are linked to immune activation and metabolic status. With these novel tools, we are able to study not only the macrophage functions but also the cross talk between macrophage and other cell types.

Research
Conduct research on advanced artificial intelligence techniques for the accurate detection, classification, and tracking of VRUs using video and point cloud data.
Develop innovative sensor calibration and fusion techniques to improve the precision and reliability of class perception mechanisms for VRUs.
Perform real-time motion analysis, conflict assessment, and risk assessment based on the status and predicted trajectory of VRUs.
Integrate Graph Neural Network (GNN) architectures for modeling relational dependencies among VRUs and improving trajectory prediction accuracy.
Development
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement algorithms and models for VRU detection and safety assessment.
Utilize deep learning methodologies for video and point cloud object recognition and detection.
Implement and optimize GNN architectures for dynamic graph modeling and trajectory prediction.
Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or related field.
Strong publication record demonstrating expertise in deep learning techniques related to video and point cloud object recognition/detection.
Familiarity with main deep learning packages such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python
Familiarity with Graph Neural Networks (GNNs).
Experience with sensor calibration, fusion techniques, and real-time motion analysis preferred.

The Department of Human Oncology (DHO) is an interdisciplinary department within the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health with missions of clinical service, research and education. The DHO fosters excellence in state-of? the-art cancer treatment, teaching as well as basic, translational and clinical research.
The fellowship will emphasize Radiation Oncology translational research at the level of 80-90% commitment. In addition, Bentson fellows will have the opportunity to pursue effort focused on clinical activities including clinical and procedural practice and the design and execution of clinical trials that relate to radiation oncology.
Candidates will have a strong interest in academic medicine and demonstrate a commitment to translational cancer research in radiation oncology. Candidates with particular talent and productivity in writing original material (research manuscripts and protocols) are encouraged to apply. Opportunities for translational research in the DHO are very strong and extend to collaboration with other Departments across the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.
