The laboratory is a focal point in the orthopedic research community for development of new materials and test methods for total joint replacements, which are implanted in over 2 million patients in the US alone each year. The development of antibacterial controlled release devices is a current focus for addressing periprosthetic joint infection. The laboratory is involved in the conception of materials, development of application processes, characterization for the appropriate clinical indication and the safety and efficacy testing in pre-clinical disease and surgery models.
The post-doctoral fellow will be responsible for:
The blending and compounding of polymeric blends of polyethylene
Polymer processing into solid forms including compression molding and extrusion
Post-processing such as radiation treatment or other cross-linking or sterilization methods
Physical, mechanical, tribological and chemical characterization of consolidated polymers
(Partly) Antibacterial efficacy testing of polymeric materials
Advanced Microscopy including Fluorescence imaging, Confocal imaging, Live imaging, and Electron microscopy (SEM/TEM)
Supervising biomedical research engineers in experimental work and presentation
Working with other team members and collaborators supporting delivery device formulation and preclinical studies for safety and efficacy.
Skills/Abilities/Qualifications
We are interested in interviewing experienced candidates with a strong background in polymeric materials. Candidates with experience in polymer processing and characterization are preferred. Familiarity with analytical chemistry and polymer synthesis methods is a plus.
Degree Requirements

What You'll Accomplish
You will explore informal science education by delivering science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs and experiences in English and Spanish. The programs and experiences will be delivered in the exhibit hall galleries, from the museum's stages, in the community, and via digital platforms, individually and part of the daily programs' teams (In-Gallery Learning, Live Presentations, Community Outreach). Fellows are scheduled for teaching 3 days/week. The programs/experiences must be engaging, understandable, accurate, fun, safe, accessible and inspire a love of science.
You will use your knowledge, creativity, language skills and love of learning to expand interest in, understanding of and comfort of STEM and public science learning by researching, developing, learning and presenting programs/experiences and for families, young learners and their caregivers, school groups, adults and teens.
You will learn to teach responsibly and safely using Museum educational resources and tools including live animals, chemicals, high voltage equipment (Thomson Theater of Electricity), demonstration apparatus, biological materials and more.
You will contribute to the department's broad range of duties including creating digital content, researching, updating information, developing demonstrations, programs and activities, exploring new technologies to create a suite of innovative offerings so we can deliver content at the pace of science. Answer visitor/learner questions and help them to explore concepts in STEM fields by phone, recorded video, email or in person.
You will hone your educator skills and explore career directions as you carry out the goal of the fellowship to learn how to teach STEM concepts and practices in a museum environment. Perform assigned duties, projects and studies to gain greater understanding and insight for learning in informal settings.

Notes: This opportunity is a full time (40hr/week) one-year fellowship with 1 position available starting Sept 4, 2025, ending Labor Day 2026 with the option to start as soon as June 2025 (still ending Labor Day 2026. The schedule is Tuesday-Saturday.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Gann Academy seeks candidates for a full-time, in-person, Jewish Student Life Fellow position for the 2025-2026 school year. The position will contribute to our comprehensive experiential Jewish Education program in the areas of Tefilah (“Zman Kodesh”), Shabbat and Holiday Programming, Student Leadership, and other aspects of Jewish Life and Jewish Studies at Gann. The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) is seeking a part time or full time Building Decarbonization Fellow for the second half of 2025 (July - December 2025). The Building Decarbonization Fellow will support programs to decarbonize buildings in accordance with the Commonwealth's Clean Energy and Climate Plan. This position will focus on fostering the decarbonization of energy use in buildings through MassCEC's building decarbonization efforts. These programs pilot building decarbonization solutions, provide grants, rebates, and technical assistance to help Massachusetts homeowners and businesses install clean heating and cooling systems, electrify building end uses, and improve thermal performance of buildings, all while expanding access of clean and affordable energy to low- and moderate-income residents. The role will include assisting MassCEC in developing and launching new building decarbonization initiatives.

Job Duties
Collaborate with team to review clean rebate application documents, payments/invoicing, responses from consultants to requests for proposals, and contract management;

You will learn to teach responsibly and safely using Museum educational resources and tools including live animals, chemicals, high voltage equipment (Thomson Theater of Electricity), demonstration apparatus, biological materials and more.
You will contribute to the department's broad range of duties including creating digital content, researching, updating information, developing demonstrations, programs and activities, exploring new technologies to create a suite of innovative offerings so we can deliver content at the pace of science. Answer visitor/learner questions and help them to explore concepts in STEM fields by phone, recorded video, email or in person.
You will hone your educator skills and explore career directions as you carry out the goal of the fellowship to learn how to teach STEM concepts and practices in a museum environment. Program Description
* This is a one-year fellowship designed for radiologists wishing to receive advanced training in emergency radiology with a focus in neuroradiology. This training program may be suitable for those considering a career in Emergency Radiology, private practice/community radiology, and Teleradiology. Fellows are exposed to Emergency and Trauma Radiology at a Level 1 Trauma Academic Medical Center in the heart of the city of Boston. Primary focus of clinical work involves interpretation of the imaging of acutely ill and traumatized patients presenting to Tufts Medical Center (TMC) Emergency Department.
* At TMC, all reading rooms have recently undergone major renovation and provide a modern and attractive working environment for ETR fellows.
* ETR Fellows serve as key members of the care team and facilitate timely communication with Emergency Medicine, Trauma Surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery teams.
* ETR Fellows will be supervised by dedicated Neuroradiology, Body, and MSK Attending Radiologists, depending on their rotations, during normal business hours (8 am to 5 pm). After 5 pm, imaging services are covered by our dedicated remote nighthawk radiologists with Day Float and Night Float residents until 2 am. After 2 am, all imaging services are covered by the Night Float resident with Teleradiology Attending coverage. There is no mandatory after-hours duty for ETR fellows, i.e. they are only required to work from 8 am to 5 pm on week days. There are no mandatory evening shifts, weekend shifts, or overnight shifts.
Clinical Rotations
* 6-month Emergency Radiology (acute neuro, body and MSK pathology and trauma)
* 6-month Neuroradiology (acute inpatient and outpatient CNS pathology)
* For those trainees who already have, or plan to acquire, Massachusetts Full Physician License by the start date of July 1st (or during the fellowship), they can participate in a voluntary Moonlighting within TMC Radiology to earn extra income by covering weekend calls (Saturday and Sunday, 8 am to 5 pm) as an attending (i.e. signing off reports).
* Academic time of up to half-a-day per week may be granted to those who would like to be involved in research and/or quality improvement projects. All ETR fellows may attend resident teaching sessions when their schedule allows. Fellows' clinical performance will be evaluated and reviewed by the Program Director and Assistant Program Director on a regular basis, with formal feedback sessions at least every 6 months. Involvement in research and/or quality improvement projects are encouraged but not required. ETR fellows have several opportunities to participate in teaching activities for Tufts University medical students and TMC radiology residents.
Career Options After Fellowship
Qualified fellows are strongly considered to transition into attending roles at the conclusion of fellowship. Hiring options include a private practice position for those who wish to transition into community radiology, mix of both community and academic radiology, and an academic position at TMC. For those who wish to move onto Teleradiology practice anywhere in the world, our program offers an excellent well-rounded training including all aspects of emergency, trauma, and acute imaging.

The Clean Transportation Fellow works to support the growth of the Massachusetts clean energy industry and position the Commonwealth as a global leader in clean energy. The team is charged with accelerating emerging clean energy market transformation in order to help the Commonwealth meet its climate goals. MassCEC catalyzes market development through strategic pilot and demonstration grant programs, targeted analysis, stakeholder engagement, and by identifying and addressing market barriers. Pilot projects and demonstrations often inform development of broader market activation programs at MassCEC, across state government, and in the utility sector. MassCEC's Clean Transportation programming also aims to increase access to clean transportation technology and decrease air quality burdens from the existing transportation system for underserved and overburdened communities across the Commonwealth.
The Clean Transportation Fellow will assist the entire Clean Transportation Team, including the Program Administrators, Program Coordinator, Program Managers, and at times, the Program Director. The Fellow will contribute to team meetings; contribute to grant project management; conduct targeted market, policy and other relevant research; assist with event coordination; and may present results to the team and/or broader organization. Job Duties

About the Opportunity
CRRJ, founded in 2007, is the pioneer and premier academic program that examines current racial inequities through the lens of history and seeks creative reparative justice. CRRJ investigates, publicizes, and remediates cases of racial homicides during the period of 1930 and 1954. The CRRJ project is unique in its combination of rigorous research and engagement by community members that have been impacted by racial violence, both directly and indirectly. In 2022, CRRJ launched a publicly available digital archive of almost 1,000 cases of racial violence in the Jim Crow South. Work on the archives is continuing through the examination of records from the eight states that bordered the eleven states of the confederacy.
To effectively reframe this history as a narrative that is causally linked to current harms of exclusion, marginalization, and inequality, communities must address the wrongs, identify their needs, meet their responsibilities and obligations, and grapple with what the history teaches about root causes. We seek to expand our work with historically harmed communities by providing them meaningful access to the archive, highlighting community-based research and vernacular knowledge production. The Fellow will also have the opportunity to utilize the Burnham-Nobles Archive and interact with scholars, journalists and others who are focusing on historical racism in the US and seeking avenues for redress.
CRRJ/CLEAR, through the fellowship, seeks to provide an opportunity to a community activist/organizer/member to undertake the following activities:
1. Build a project of their choosing based on the Burnham-Nobles Digital Archive;
2. Design, manage, and execute CRRJ's community-based programs associated with the history that is the subject of the Archive, including convenings, educational programming in the humanities and arts, exhibitions. Such community-based projects include renaming streets to memorialize victims of racial terror killings; promoting visual, literary and musical art; engaging public officials; and hosting commemorative events on the anniversaries of these atrocities.
3. Promote strong collaborative relations with CRRJ's non-academic partner organizations.
4. Engage in such other activities that may be appropriate to support the restorative justice work of CRRJ and CLEAR.
