Responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

* Participate in coalition meetings and working closely with partners in various progressive coalitions;

Key Relations

Compensation
A salary within the range of $88,055-96,786 will be provided to the successful candidate, consistent with the National Women's Law Center's compensation framework. The successful candidate's salary within this range will be determined by the number years of relevant experience they bring to the role.
The center offers a comprehensive benefits package, and four weeks of annual vacation.
NWLC is a non-profit organization whose headquarters and staff are based in Washington, D.C. at our new office at 1350 Eye Street N.W. This role is based in D.C. and will be eligible for some telework while also being expected to work in person on a regular basis. The Wadhwani AI Center seeks a highly motivated Senior Fellow to play a key role in advancing the program's research agenda that explores the technological impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in U.S. national security, national and international regulations, and geopolitics. They will engage in projects that require deep expertise in technological subject matters, providing a differentiated capability to execute research based on technological evidence.
The majority of the Senior Fellow's time (approximately 75%) will be spent coordinating research activities, authoring or co-authoring policy and research reports in internal and external publications, and developing and delivering research briefings and presentations to key stakeholders. They will be responsible for conducting independent research projects that aim to shape key policy debates and inform both public and private organizations. The remainder of the Senior Fellow's time (approximately 25%) will be spent supporting other research activities within the Wadhwani AI Center and across the Economic Security and Technology Department, preparing proposals for project funding, writing grant reports, and contributing to the internal activities of the Wadhwani AI Center.
The successful candidate will have education and experience in computer science, programming, machine learning, and/or data science. They will have excellent research and writing skills and experience writing for external audiences. They should be able to identify emerging issues of relevance and opportunities for policy engagement and be eager to engage in self-directed research and writing. They will be expected to work closely with researchers across the Wadhwani AI Center and Economic Security, and Technology Department and CSIS at large on research, events, and other program activities. They must be a team player and be willing to take on logistical and organizational tasks when necessary.
The CSIS Wadhwani AI Center at CSIS delves into crucial topics at the intersection of policy, AI, and other advanced technologies, focusing on three key themes: Governance & Regulation, Geopolitics, and National Security. ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Scowcroft-Nye Fellowship is a full-time, temporary opportunity for young leaders to join the Aspen Strategy Group (ASG) team. Meant as a stepping-stone to launch a career in national security and foreign policy, the fellowship lets young professionals experience first-hand how today s preeminent politicians, leaders, and thinkers set aside differences and exchange ideas for open and cooperative dialogue.
