Fellow will teach or co-teach at the FAME Academy or at a FAME Partner School during the summer of 2025.
Fellow will participate in weekly meetings with mentor, cooperating teacher and Director of FAME Academy.
Fellow will be responsible for designing and implementing lessons at the FAME Academy or assigned site as assigned by cooperating teacher.
Fellow will be responsible for reading the assigned book and attending weekly study group meetings.
Fellow will be responsible for grading student work and assigning grades in collaboration with cooperating teacher.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The goals of the Tim Palmer River Conservation Fellowship Program are to advance dam removal projects in Pennsylvania, enhance community resiliency and river health, provide academic and professional development opportunities, and honor Tim Palmer's legacy in river conservation. The fellowship will provide a comprehensive, immersive experience for practitioners that are passionate about progressing river conservation and who are ready to take the next step in their careers. The fellowship will run for one year, with the possibility of extension for an additional year based on a case-by-case review by the American Rivers Mid Atlantic team. Working closely with American Rivers staff, the fellow will participate in dam removal feasibility studies, community outreach and engagement, research and policy analysis, collaboration with partners, project reporting, and fundraising support.
The fellow will directly support American Rivers' conservation campaigns, particularly focusing on:
1. Dam removal and river restoration projects in Pennsylvania
2. Community engagement and resiliency initiatives
3. Research on river conservation policies and ecological impacts of dams
4. Exploration of funding opportunities for future projects
Fellows will have the opportunity to attend relevant conferences and workshops to broaden their professional networks and may contribute to thesis work related to river conservation or dam removal

We are seeking creative and energetic candidates with strong experience in multimodal machine learning and human behavior analysis and modeling for a one-year postdoctoral position. Using recent progress in machine learning and artificial intelligence, the successful candidate will have primary responsibility to develop, implement, and test multimodal machine learning algorithms to analyze and recognize multimodal human behavior in real world settings (e.g., Affective Computing, AI for Healthcare: pain measurement, monitoring mental health disorders). The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for all facets of the project, including papers writing and students mentoring. Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record, demonstrating relevant skills and extensive experience in multimodal machine learning and human behavior analysis (e.g., facial and gesture analysis and acoustic signal processing).
The candidate should be enthusiastic about collaborating with partners from multiple disciplines and institutions.

The Dynamic Decision-Making Laboratory (******************* at Carnegie Mellon University, has a new post-doctoral position available to start between May-August 2025. This is a full-time research position with full benefits, for one year with the possibility of renewal for one additional year conditional on research performance and availability of funds.
A new post-doctoral fellow will support the lab's projects on Human-AI Teaming or Behavioral Cybersecurity. Generally, the post-doctoral fellow must be technically capable in either of these two areas or both. The fellow must be ready to conduct research involving construction of research games or microworlds, conduct laboratory studies, and construct computational cognitive models including paradigms in Cognitive Science (Instance-Based Learning models) or AI (Reinforcement Learning).
The fellow will explore many issues of interest to cognitive science, computational cognitive modeling, decision science, and AI. For example, in the context of Behavioral Cybersecurity we investigate behavioral Game Theoretic algorithms of defense, and how those can/should be modified to account for human attacker's biases. To accomplish this goal, we study attacker's behavior and create cognitive computational models of the attacker's decisions. These models can serve to predict biases and measure cognitive biases to improve defense algorithms.
Core Responsibilities
The post-doctoral fellow will need to be familiar with
Experimental research and with cognitive computational modeling. The fellow will be involved in the design and implementation of interactive web-based experimental studies and the use of existent high-fidelity games or cyber-ranges in the case of behavioral cybersecurity (i.e., CyberVAN).
Development of computational models of individual and collective behavior, paying special attention to cognitive modeling methods in cognitive science such as cognitive architectures, Instance-Based Learning models and Reinforcement Learning.

Experience with programming (Python, Java, Javascript, PhP, and others)
Training in behavioral science research methods and statistical analyses.
Experience with statistical software (preferably R, others acceptable).
Experience with computational/cognitive modeling (e.g., reinforcement learning, ACT-R models, IBL models).
Proven writing abilities through publications
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Desired qualifications:
Experience with client-server web programming and design.
Experience working with interdisciplinary, collaborative teams, and managing research assistants.
