MobilizeGreen seeks conservation-minded Maintenance Fellows who want a career opportunity in one or more of the trades with the federal government. Through its partnership with the US Fish & Wildlife Service (“FWS”), MobilizeGreen is implementing the FWS' Maintenance and Infrastructure Fellowship program for participants. Fellows will work on a variety of maintenance projects on a network of public lands and waters called the National Wildlife Refuge System. The Maintenance Fellowships typically are for 26 or 52 weeks.
As a Fellow, you will work in a beautiful setting, learning maintenance, project management, equipment use, and leadership development. Through mentorship and training, Fellows will gain the opportunity to launch their career with a non-competitive or through other hiring authorities once they successfully complete their fellowship.
Duty Station and Location: Central Washington & Mid-Columbia River National Wildlife Refuges - Othello, WA
Term: 26 weeks (6 months), Full-Time (40 hours per week), on-site position. The fellowship is eligible for extension up to 3 years (36 months).

Position Duties:
To successfully complete MIFP as a maintenance professional the student will complete various tasks.
Complete up to 3,000 hours of On-the-Job Learning (OJL) and a structured curriculum of academic learning emphasizing the four essential attributes to develop competent, capable, multiskilled maintenance professionals and leaders. The fellow will work with supervisors, trainer and MIFP Coordinators to track hours of On-the-Job Learning.
Participate in one Great American Outdoors Act Strike Force infrastructure project or one Maintenance Action Team (MAT) project every six months. These are larger-scale projects that bring maintenance professionals together from across the region to collaborate and accomplish a goal. The fellow may be required to detail at a location other than their duty station.
In addition to hours of OJL recorded, each Fellow must complete a Work Process Competencies Checklist. The checklists cover each OJL work process category. Tasks must be completed during the term of fellowship. The intent of this checklist is to guide both the fellow and Supervisor in ensuring OJL time is meaningful and provides diversity of experience for maximum learning.
Lead a small project where they plan for equipment, labor, supplies and develop a site safety plan at their station. Complete and present a final report of the project that includes photos, cost estimation versus actual expenses, and summary of the work done. This project will be referred to as a Capstone. One Capstone Project will be completed during the first year of the program, then an additional project each six-month increment of the program. The projects will increase in difficulty as the fellow's skills and knowledge increases. A poster on the first capstone will be presented at the closeout ceremony.
Complete tasks assigned to the fellows by supervisor or day-to-day trainer. 80% of fellows time will be spent completing maintenance related tasks. 20% of fellow's time can be used to complete tasks in other refuge programs ie. Biology, Visitor Services.
Attend all required MIFP, station and refuge meetings. MIFP meetings will consist of monthly meetings with all MIFP fellows and monthly maintenance cohort meetings. Station and refuge meetings will be outlined by supervisors.
Effectively communicate scheduling and needs with supervisor and MIFP coordinators.
Project Types:
Asset and Facility Maintenance: rehabilitates, repairs, and upgrades various exhibits and structures.
Vehicle Maintenance: operates and maintains gasoline and diesel vehicles.
Grounds Maintenance: uses hand tools, tractors or skid steer type loaders.
General Maintenance: maintains work areas and assists with any maintenance issues that arise onsite.
Project Management: participates in large-scale collaborative deferred maintenance projects; and/or leads or co-leads a small infrastructure project.
Eligibility:
You must have received your high school diploma or GED by the start date.
You are at least 18 years old and not older than 30 years old (veterans may apply up to age 35).
You have a strong interest in the FWS fellowship program.
You must be available to serve for 6 or 12 months in a selected location.
You need the ability to interpret oral and occasionally written instructions and specifications and follow safety practices.
You have the skill in or ability to learn operation of tools and equipment.
You have a valid driver's license.

Position Summary
The Urban Indian Health Institute, the public health division of Seattle Indian Health Board, is seeking a Fellow to work directly with the Executive Vice President to further our Data Sovereignty Work. The Urban Indian Health Institute (UIHI) has embarked on a journey to reclaim the indigenous values of data, evaluation and research as a way to contribute to the health and well-being of tribal people living in urban areas nationwide. The Public Health Fellowship will build upon training and opportunities of the UIHI Public Health Internship to support professional development, technical skill enhancement, and incorporation of indigenous methodologies into a project that will include a draft manuscript for publication. The Public Health Fellow will work under the close mentorship of the executive vice president and Special Projects team. Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology Oncology are jointly recruiting a full-time Bone Marrow Transplant/Immunotherapy Fellow with an appointment as Acting Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. This is a full-time, 12-month service period, annual appointment. The primary appointment will be in the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch.
The selected individual for the advertised position is expected to participate in a year-long fellowship program with the goal of becoming an expert in pediatric hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and Immunotherapy. This position will rotate through outpatient HCT services (autologous and allogeneic transplant, immunotherapy, Long Term Follow Up) and on the inpatient transplant service initially as a primary care provider with increasing levels of independent patient care responsibility over the course of the year. Exposure to some of our unique clinical programs, including non-malignant transplantation, high risk leukemia, and survivorship, will be part of the learning experience as well. Approximately 60-75% of the year will be devoted to clinical activities with the remaining time available for the opportunity to participate in research projects, which will be determined based on identification of mentors and projects. This one-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship includes training in all subspecialty areas\: cardiac anesthesiology, neuroanesthesia, regional anesthesia, pain medicine, critical care medicine, with exposure to neonatology and emergency medicine.
The Division of Anesthesiology, Pain and Perioperative Medicine at Children's National provides comprehensive clinical anesthesia services for infants and children undergoing a full range of surgical procedures for congenital heart disease, heart transplantation, craniofacial malformations, laryngotracheal abnormalities, and neonatal emergencies. As trainees in the program, fellows actively participate and learn from these cases.

RFA's 2025 summer internship program will run for approximately 10 weeks, from Monday June 2 - Friday, August 15, 2025. Position Responsibilities
Duties for this internship will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Legislative Research and Analysis [50%]
Track federal legislation and congressional hearings.
Conduct background research on evidence-based policy initiatives and support legislative analysis.
Analyze and synthesize scholarly materials to stay current on federal policy areas, such as education and workforce development.
Monitor press and social media for updates on legislative priorities.
Collaborate on other Federal Practice initiatives that advance evidence-based policies and economic mobility outcomes.
Policy Advocacy and Engagement [30%]
Research Members of Congress, their staff, and relevant committees.
Edit drafts of research memos, meeting briefs, and other documents to inform advocacy efforts.
Proactively attend federal policy events and meetings.
Administrative Support [20%]
Perform day-to-day functions that support team operations, e.g. updating databases to maintain accurate records of emails, meetings, contacts, or legislative activities.
Position Reporting Relationship
The Federal Policy Intern (Congress) will report to the Director, Federal Practice, and may work closely with other Federal Practice team members.
Rate of Pay
Individuals with 1-4 years of postsecondary education or relevant work experience in government or nonprofit organizations will be paid $27/hour.
Individuals with 5 or more years of postsecondary education or relevant work experience in government or nonprofit organizations will be paid $32/hour.
The exact work schedule will be determined in coordination with the relevant RFA program lead.

The ACLU of Washington (ACLU-WA) advances liberty and justice in the courts, in the legislatures, in the streets, and at the ballot box. The Policy Advocacy Department (PAD) works on a variety of civil liberties issues. We promote and protect civil liberties by working with elected officials, government agencies, and coalition partners at the state and local levels. We achieve our goals through lobbying and policy advocacy, educating our members and other activists about our issues and encouraging them to act to support them.
The primary subject areas for the Policy Advocacy Department include Criminal Justice Reform, Education Equity and Juvenile Justice, Immigrant Rights, Policing Reform, Health Care and Liberty, and Technology and Liberty.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
An intern with the Policy Advocacy Department will work under the supervision of a policy lead and the policy advocacy associate to analyze and support proactive legislation, draft policy and legal memos, research legal and policy challenges to legislation introduced by others, create educational materials, and assist in the preparation of other advocacy documents. Interns will work across multiple Policy Advocacy Department issue areas.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
The ability to manage multiple tasks.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The ability to use research and writing skills to develop an in-depth understanding of civil liberties issues, policy advocacy, the legislative process, and the art of messaging.
Excellent writing and communications skills, including proper citations, are required.
The ability to demonstrate in their application they have strong interests in civil liberties, constitutional law and policy advocacy. Experience in these areas is a plus.

Must be enrolled in an educational program (undergraduate or graduate level) to be eligible.
