Exciting Opportunity at MSK: The Epidemiology and Biostatistics Services is looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Genetic Epidemiology to join the team.
We are seeking highly talented and motivated candidates interested in quantitative epidemiology and radiogenomics research in breast cancer and glioma. The successful candidate will join the interdisciplinary research teams of Drs. Jonine Bernstein and Ronglai Shen bridging both the Epidemiology and Biostatistics Services. The fellow will primarily devote time to NCI-funded multi-center research studies focused on understanding the joint roles of genetics and treatment in the etiology of breast cancer and glioma. However, there will also be opportunities to develop epidemiologic studies focused on imaging biomarkers of cancer risk, cancer treatment-related issues including the influence of radiation therapy on non-cancer outcomes, and genetic predisposition to cancer. The fellow will play a leading role on research projects, have the chance to present research findings at national scientific meetings, develop grant writing skills and to learn from a cadre of other postdoctoral fellows and mentors.
Key Qualifications:
A doctoral degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related quantitative discipline, including but not limited to population health, genetic/molecular, genetics, statistical genetics or environmental health.
Strong understanding of quantitative methods, study design, data analysis, and interpretation.
Experience working with large genetic and population-based data sets, SEER, and proficiency in a statistical programming language, including R/python or SAS.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

The Digital Marketing Fellow will coordinate content across our social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube), drive engagement, and actualize their own ideas for campaigns and content. The Stakeholder Services Fellow will work to build and maintain strong relationships with the businesses, employees, residents, and other stakeholders of Times Square. We are seeking an engaging communicator who is excited to connect with our constituency through direct outreach. The Fellow will be encouraged to research, develop and pursue creative ideas for community engagement. The Fellow will be trained to update our stakeholder data on Salesforce, and to create and evaluate reports for various communications and opportunities with our constituent groups. This will include providing support to ACLU affiliates on technology issues in specific states or regions. This is an eight-week summer fellowship running June 9 to August 1, 2025.
Must be available Tuesday mornings; additional days and times to be discussed with the supervisor
20 hours per week
Responsibilities
Maintain contact with community partners and identify opportunities for promotions, partnerships and event collaboration
Support producers in advancing Community Engagement events including planning, implementing processes and managing signage and equipment
Work as a production assistant for a minimum of three community events each week
Cultivate marketing resources
Drop-off promotional materials to local businesses
Research and contact community partners, universities and employee resource groups to gather resources for Standing in Solidarity programs
Minimum Qualifications
Open to rising college juniors, seniors, post-college graduates or graduate students
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, non-profit arts environment
Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
Self-motivation and high-level of energy
Must be able to lift 15 - 25 lbs. of audio and promotional equipment
Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and Google applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Fluency in English; bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
Ability to drive own vehicle preferred, but not mandatory

ABC News Fellowship Program

Are you an aspiring journalist ready to take your newsroom experience and skills to the next level? The ABC News Fellowship is a year-long rotational program designed to develop early career journalists and content creators from a diverse group of backgrounds. You will spend a year rotating through a series of ABC News shows and platforms while mastering the editorial, production, and newsgathering skills crucial to success in the competitive, fast-paced field of multiplatform journalism. These journalists will gain hands-on experience developing news stories, working on productions, writing, shooting, editing, refining research skills and developing content for all platforms. Additionally, each participant will have access to industry-leading professionals, as well as development and mentorship opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Research and gather video elements for shows and units across ABC News platforms.
* Pitch and develop ideas for new stories, content, and formats to engage our audience.
* Serve as shooter in the field or in the creative space as needed.
* Identify and implement new technologies for visual storytelling.
* Conduct thorough research, reporting, and editorial content management under tight deadline pressures.
* Collaborate closely with the Legal department and Rights and Clearances team to ensure that all video, images, and audio content are cleared for broadcast.
* Coordinate and organize field shoots.
Basic Qualifications
* Minimum two years of relevant professional experience or equivalent educational graduate-level experience
* Proven writing skills
* Genuine interest in journalism, production and digital content
* Possess outstanding news judgment, attention to detail and a keen understanding of news broadcasts and the digital space.
* Candidates must have work authorization in the United States through 2024
Preferred Qualifications
* Ability to edit packages on AVID Newscutter
* Ability to shoot on DV camera
Education
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
The base salary for this position in New York City is $64,350. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
