Role Summary The PCAOB has a part-time position (working up to approximately 20 hours/week) for a Board Fellow (Fellow) to support a PCAOB Board Member. The position is intended for a graduate or Ph.D. student interested in pursuing a career in the audit profession. The term of the position will be for six months with targeted start dates in Fall 2025 and Winter 2026. Responsibilities * Support the review of matters before the board in the areas of standard setting and rulemaking. * Support the review of Inspections reports and remediation determinations. * Support the review of Enforcement matters. * Support a Board Member Group in preparing for stakeholder engagement. * Conduct research on emerging issues pertaining to the auditing profession. * Collaborate effectively with other PCAOB staff. * Assist in certain administrative tasks. The Department of Otolaryngology is currently seeking a full time Audiology Fellow to work in Miami. The Audiology Extern role is a full-time, 50-week clinical training period role for an individual interested in completing a comprehensive 4th year externship encompassing general and specialty areas within audiology. The Extern participates in day-to-day activities of assigned facilities with the purpose of developing the trainee's clinical knowledge base and skills toward independence. The Audiology Extern will rotate through various subsets of audiology and is expected to reach competency in each core area. As part of the externship, the Extern will complete a robust pediatric clinical rotation. Expectations will differ based on whether the extern is selected for the LEND trainee externship, or the Ear Institute externship. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS Under the supervision of a licensed audiologist, rotates through clinical audiology areas such as general diagnostics (including electrophysiology), hearing aids, hearing implants (cochlear and bone conduction), vestibular diagnostics, tinnitus evaluation/management, educational audiology at the Debbie Institute, and newborn hearing screenings. Participates in early intervention services for children with hearing loss. Under the supervision of a licensed audiologist, provides rehabilitative management to individuals with hearing loss through the provision of hearing aids and assistive listening technologies. Provides complete and accurate reporting of results and recommendations to the patient and in the medical record. The Audiology Fellow is a fellowship for an individual interested in developing skills in both cochlear implants and general audiology. The incumbent will spend half of their time working in the Cochlear implant Program and half of their time in the Audiology Diagnostic Clinic. In the Audiology Diagnostic Clinic, the individual will perform routine audiometric evaluations including air, bone and speech testing, immittance testing, and such special diagnostic procedures as evoked potentials and otoacoustic emissions. The individual will develop and implement the skills to evaluate potential hearing aid and/or assistive device candidates. The individual will perform electroacoustic measures and Real-Ear measures to verify device performance. Counsels candidates regarding expectations and device selection and will perform the necessary follow-up. In the Vestibular Clinic, the individual will perform Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials, Post urography, Rotational Chair testing, and Videonystagmography testing for assessment and diagnosis of vestibular disorders. In the Implant Program, the individual will develop and implement the skills to evaluate potential implant candidates, will counsel candidates regarding expectations and device selection and will perform the necessary follow-up for implant patients.
