**Strategic Financing Services - Open Access Fellow** The Strategic Financing Services team at Cherry Bekaert (SFS) is looking for an Open Access Fellow to join the SFS team. We offer an opportunity to work with a team of experts with a deep track record in New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation applications, Historic Tax Credit (HTC) and NMTC placement and deployment, and NMTC compliance and asset management services. The fellow will have a unique opportunity to experience multiple facets of the NMTC industry and serve as a key member of the team, completing tangible projects throughout the duration of the fellowship.

SFS has been involved in the NMTC industry since its inception and to date has secured over $1.7 billion in NMTC funding. SFS is proud to have structured and facilitated NMTC investments that have created 14,530 direct jobs, served 489,860 clients through nonprofit investments, and helped create over 9.7 million square feet of new and improved commercial and industrial real estate. SFS's current portfolio consists of investments in areas with poverty rates as high as 66%, median family income as low as 14.24%, and unemployment rates as high as 31.2%.
**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Work with the Project Finance team to help identify, evaluate, and manage a pipeline of NMTC, and other community development finance, opportunities
+ Help Collect, package, and manage due diligence on potential borrowers and Project Sponsors
+ Develop marketing materials to present to CDEs and investors
+ Support meetings with CDEs to better identify the best project financing match
+ Update, maintain, and optimize multiple databases housed in Smartsheet and Microsoft Dynamics
+ Work with Management Services team to learn accounting entries; analysis of financial statements and quarterly financial statements for CDEs, Sub-CDEs, and QALICBs
+ Assist with providing information for annual audits of CDEs, Sub-CDEs, and QALICBs
+ Assist with loan servicing and asset management activities for loan portfolio
+ Collect and provide quarterly financial analysis of project-level financial statements
+ Work with the SFS team and The Innovate Fund (our affiliated CDE) to support event logistics, including board meeting preparation and conference attendee outreach
+ Support collection and visualization of impact data to be presented to multiple stakeholders

The Post-Doctoral Fellow will be affiliated with the Department of Physiology and Cell Biology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will work within an interdisciplinary team, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources to perform both clinical and basic studies. The Post-Doctoral Research Fellow joining the Novak lab team will help further their work in understanding the microenvironment of a healing bone and cartilage to regain normal skeletal function in physiological and pathological contexts. Specific research directions are 1) Gaining insight into the hematopoietic/immune cell lineage interactions with mesenchymal, endothelial cells after bone and cartilage injury; 2) Understanding how immune cells signals at the injury site modulate bone microenvironment and activates healing process of a bone and cartilage; and 3) Reveal transcriptional and proteomic changes within bone and cartilage that alter skeletal function and healing during homeostasis and in pathological conditions. Using a multi-omics approach, aim is to identify novel molecular targets for pre-clinical studies with the objective to translate these therapies to the clinical application.

Summary of Job Duties:The Bowen Summer Public Interest Fellowship will be granted to five (5) students who intend to dedicate ten (10) weeks to working full-time in the public sector. Summary of Job Duties:The Postdoctoral Fellow position is a full-time provisional position with the COSMOS Research Center (cosmos.ualr.edu) at the University of Arkansas Little Rock, and is funded through a grant or contract. The position renewal is contingent upon continued grant funding and satisfactory job performance. The Postdoctoral Fellow will develop socio-computational models to advance our understanding of cyber campaigns run on social media grounded in the dynamics of various social and communication processes such as group formation, activation, decentralized decision-making, and collective action. Leveraging cyber forensics and deep web search-based methodologies, the postdoctoral fellow will help extract relevant open-source information in a guided snowball data collection manner. Postdoctoral Fellow will work with the research team in developing predictive models of various socio-technical behaviors on different social media platforms (including, multimedia-rich platforms), usable tools/software to identify key actors and key groups responsible for coordinating cyber campaigns and disseminating propaganda. Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience:
The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline;
The candidate should have at least one year research experience in social media mining, computational modeling of social science theories, working with social network analysis tools, and examining cyber campaigns conducted on social media.

A candidate with extensive research experience in computer programming and data management will be given preference.

Summary of Job Duties:A Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Associate position is available immediately in the Department of Food Science at the University of Arkansas System, Division of Agriculture in Fayetteville. This position is in collaboration with the USDA Dale Bumpers National Rice Research Center in Stuttgart, Arkansas. The primary research location will be in Stuttgart at the USDA Dale Bumpers National Rice Research Center, with occasional activities in Fayetteville.
Position Focus
The research aims to enhance head rice yield through genetics and genomics.
Key Responsibilities
•Investigate the role of fissure resistance and chalkiness in determining head rice yield.
•Identify genes governing chalkiness and seed size to facilitate yield improvement
•Develop user-friendly methods for breeders to enhance head rice yield.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with experts in genetics, genomics, and bioinformatics as part of a multidisciplinary research team. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and collaboratively, contribute to peer-reviewed publications, secure research funding, and present findings at conferences.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics, Plant Genetics and Breeding, Agronomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related fields in Biological Sciences.
Proficiency in standard breeding, genetics, molecular, biochemical, and molecular genetics techniques, as well as factorial field plot experiments.
Strong writing and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with mapping, cloning, genomic prediction, systems biology, and structural/functional analysis of crop genes.
Strong background in molecular biology with a record of peer-reviewed publications.

Summary of Job Duties:The candidate will lead research on chemical nematicides, host plant resistance, and cultural practices to mitigate yield losses by plant-parasitic nematodes in cotton, corn, and/or soybean production systems across multiple locations in the state. Emphasis will be placed on host plant resistance characterization in soybean against the southern root-knot nematode. Further, the candidate will collect and analyze multi-year data to validate management options that are extended to farmers and scientists. The candidate will support the applied Lonoke Extension Plant Pathology Program through field crop disease diagnosis and participation in Extension outreach programs.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in Plant Pathology or closely related field.
Ability to drive.
Obtain a pesticide applicator's license within 6 months of hire.
Work with a microscope
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of plant pathogen identification and familiarity with traditional pathogen assay techniques.
Experience in host plant resistance screening for fungi and/or nematodes and/or conducting fungicide/nematicide efficacy assays.
Demonstrate experience in operating field equipment.
Strong organization skills and self-motivation.
Proficiency in statistical analysis and familiarity with at least one statistical computing and graphics software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A record of peer-reviewed publications.
Ability to work both independently and with a diverse team across research settings.
Experience in extension education.
