POSITION SUMMARY
Our Corporate Affairs Team is the group that's at the center of it all, working with media, community partners and both internal and external stakeholders to share Nestlé Purina's story. They look after our reputation and ensure we're a good corporate citizen in our hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, and in the cities in which we operate. They manage partnerships and events within our local and extended communities, as well as organize various internal functions and programs that our associates rally around, like Purina Cares Day - our annual day of service.
As a Corporate Affairs Intern, you'll help the Corporate Affairs function promote, protect, and influence our external and internal stakeholders. You'll gain exposure to all types of communications, community affairs, event planning, government affairs, and reputation management.
Identify engaging stories and develop content to share for internal and external channels
Develop written and video content for internal platforms including our weekly newsletter and Viva Engage communities
Develop artwork leveraging Canva and Photoshop to accompany content
Serve as liaison with external vendors and internal communications to create compelling and integrated video collateral
Assist with event planning and implementation, including logistics and vendor management for our various community, non-profit, and government affairs partners
Assist in developing collateral for building awareness of events
Requirements
Enrolled as a junior (graduating no earlier than December 2025 and no later than May 2026) in an undergraduate program or graduate program
Must be majoring in Communications, Journalism, English, Digital Communications, or related field of study
Must be able to commit to 12, full-time consecutive weeks during summer of 2025
Previous internship experience and/or involvement with an on-campus, student-led, athletic, or Military organization
Other
Experience writing in AP style is preferred.
Event planning experience (e.g. Student Activity Board, Social Chair, Athletic or Club event) is preferred
Proficiency with Canva and/or Adobe Suite is preferred.

Saint Louis Zoo Institute for Conservation Medicine Wildlife Veterinary Fellow (Full-Time / 2-Year Temporary Position)

Summary: This full-time, 2-year temporary wildlife veterinary fellow position will include primary duties dedicated to the advancement of the Forest Park Living Lab (FPLL). The FPLL is a collaborative program that includes the Saint Louis Zoo, Washington University in St. Louis (WUSTL), St. Louis University, Forest Park Forever, and the World Bird Sanctuary. In this position, the Fellow will be part of the Saint Louis Zoo Institute for Conservation Medicine (ICM) Team. The Fellow will also be in the graduate cohort of the WUSTL Living Earth Collaborative (LEC), and as such they will have an affiliation with WUSTL. The position is based at the Zoo's main campus in Forest Park, and the fellow will report to the Director of the Institute for Conservation Medicine.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre-animal handling may include trap set up and monitoring, and all preparations for safe animal handling and health sampling procedures.
Animal handling that may include manual and/or anesthetic captures, biomaterial sample collection, telemetry tag placement, and post procedure long-term monitoring.
Analyses of health data along with movement, and ecological data collected by the team.
Outreach activities including presentations that may be delivered to the general public and students from K-12 to graduate level.
Co-mentor along with ICM and FPLL personnel undergraduate and possibly graduate students.
Participation in LEC seminars and programs as a member of the LEC post-doc and fellow cohort.
Website administrator for the collaborative Forest Park Living Lab (forestparklivinglab.org) website pages.
Coordinate field activities, didactic exercises, and help facilitate communication between FPLL leadership and partners.
Publication of at least two scientific papers.
At least one grant submitted during time of the fellowship to ensure long-term success of FPLL.
Opportunity to participate in other ICM international programs may be available in year two of the position, contingent on fulfillment of FPLL duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Veterinary degree from an accredited veterinary college.
Experience working with non-domestic animals and/or with affiliated skills in disease and/or movement ecology.
Detail-oriented, strong problem-solving skills, and good understanding of field-based conservation medicine programs.
Ability to work independently but also as part of a team that includes a diversity of disciplines (e.g., ecologists, biologists, technicians, educators) is critical.
Effective written and verbal communications skills, and strong interpersonal skills are a must.
Ability to obtain a Missouri veterinary license within 3 months of starting the position is encouraged.
All successful candidates for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check and a drug test. As this is a safety-sensitive role, a negative drug test result is mandatory. Postdoctoral Fellow, Biodiversity Data, Herbarium

The Missouri Botanical Garden (MBG) seeks to hire a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow to work in the lab of Dr. Matthew Austin on a project investigating how hyperspectral scans of Herbarium specimens can be used for taxonomic identification and trait prediction. The candidate will (1) collect hyperspectral data from taxonomically diverse Herbarium specimens, (2) use machine learning to analyze the resolution of taxonomic identification and accuracy of trait prediction that can be achieved with hyperspectral data, (3) prepare and submit manuscripts for publication, and (4) assist MBG scientists with other research-related activities, including mentoring of students and technicians, participating in outreach events and workshops, and presenting research lectures. This person will also have the opportunity to explore other novel applications of hyperspectral data in the biodiversity sciences.
This position is part of MBG's Revolutionizing Species Identification (RSI) project. The RSI project - made possible by an anonymous $14.4 million grant - is digitizing MBG's entire herbarium (of nearly 8 million specimens) and is harnessing specimen data to develop new technology to automatically identify herbarium specimens. The successful candidate will work closely with MBG scientists and colleagues to carry out this groundbreaking initiative.
The position will be based in St. Louis, which is home to a collaborative community of ecologists, evolutionary biologists, and data scientists that interact through partnerships among MBG, Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Missouri - St. Louis, Saint Louis University, and other area institutions. This position is based in the Herbarium, a department within MBG's Science and Conservation Division, which manages MBG's world-class Herbarium and conducts specimen-based research in the furtherance of biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration.
Candidates should have completed a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Botany, Data/Computer Science, or a related field before the start date. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in several of the following: herbarium research, bioinformatics, spectroscopy, plant phenotyping, machine learning, and statistical analysis of biodiversity data.

The goal of the fellowship is to teach psychology fellows to work within multi-discipline, methods, and treatments of physical diseases and behavior disorders. Our objectives for the fellows are as follows:
* To learn how to evaluate patients and form coherent treatment plans.
* To appreciate issues related to the current healthcare environment and to relate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
* To provide effective individual and group therapy to clients.
* To attain proficiency in at least one area of sub-specialization (e.g., anxiety disorders, DBT, or eating disorders, etc.)
Program Description
The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program providers at SLBMI have been trained in formal Marsha Linehan DBT approach. Postdoctoral fellows are expected to be active members of a DBT consultation team, as well as provide treatment in the Adult DBT IOP, Adolescent DBT IOP, and DBT Outpatient Group/Individual Services.
Supervised Clinical Experience
Each fellow receives a minimum of one hour per week of individual, face-to-face supervision. In addition, fellows may also receive peer supervision from other licensed staff clinicians. Supervision may include the use of case notes and other supporting materials. Supervisors are responsible for providing fellows with written and verbal feedback regarding their performance and progress. These evaluations are performed twice per year. Informal verbal feedback is provided on an ongoing basis.
Trainings Meetings and Seminars
Throughout the year, fellows attend a weekly, one-hour-seminar series with topics covering theoretical and therapeutic issues related to the fellow's clinical experience. Topic examples from previous years include: A Trans-Diagnostic Treatment Model for OCD & Anxiety-Related Disorders, Developing Treatment Plans, DBT Skills Training, Cognitive Behavioral Treatments for Insomnia, Gestalt Therapy: Implementing Theory into Practice, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Radically Open DBT.
The seminar sessions are taught by the faculty and staff of the Institute, as well as guest speakers.
To complement supervision and the seminar series, fellow are required to read a variety of materials from a reading list (e.g., treatment manuals, book chapters, and research articles). These readings are designed to enhance skill-building and to complement the other training experiences.
Qualifications

Postdoctoral position in cell-associated immunology
The Ferris lab at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a full-time postdoctoral research associate in the fields of tumor immunology and autoimmunity. We study the dendritic cells required to mount adaptive T cell responses in the context of tumors and autoimmunity to better understand tumor evolution and identify novel therapeutic strategies that can improve patient outcomes. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and intellectually invested. They will have the opportunity pursue their own ideas that are relevant to the overall goals of the lab and drive their own research projects.
Dr. Ferris is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology. MMI houses a diverse variety of research groups studying virology and innate and adaptive immune responses in the context of viral infection, cancer, and autoimmunity. Project I: Understanding coronavirus pathogenesis and transmission (zoonotic, enzootic, and pandemic). The focus of the project is to understand the molecular mechanisms of host factors and viral determinants that enhance Coronavirus zoonosis. Traditional molecular virology skills and the ability to generate hypotheses are required. Work also requires biosafety level 3 (BSL3) training, with previous experience in BSL3 preferred.
Project II: Develop a safe and efficacious Dengue virus vaccine for naïve children in endemic areas. The focus of the project is to understand the correlation between dengue vaccine protection and antibody enhancement. Unwanted/unsafe epitopes will be removed via viral engineering. Research skills in structural, engineering, and evolution of viral antigens are required. Small animal work is necessary.
