The development of antibacterial controlled release devices is a current focus for addressing periprosthetic joint infection. The laboratory is involved in the conception of materials, development of application processes, characterization for the appropriate clinical indication and the safety and efficacy testing in pre-clinical disease and surgery models.
The post-doctoral fellow will be responsible for:
The blending and compounding of polymeric blends of polyethylene
Polymer processing into solid forms including compression molding and extrusion
Post-processing such as radiation treatment or other cross-linking or sterilization methods
Physical, mechanical, tribological and chemical characterization of consolidated polymers
(Partly) Antibacterial efficacy testing of polymeric materials
Advanced Microscopy including Fluorescence imaging, Confocal imaging, Live imaging, and Electron microscopy (SEM/TEM)
Supervising biomedical research engineers in experimental work and presentation
Working with other team members and collaborators supporting delivery device formulation and preclinical studies for safety and efficacy.
Skills/Abilities/Qualifications
We are interested in interviewing experienced candidates with a strong background in polymeric materials. Candidates with experience in polymer processing and characterization are preferred. Familiarity with analytical chemistry and polymer synthesis methods is a plus.
Degree Requirements
Ph.D. in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Biomedical Engineering or other with appropriate experience.

Qualifications
The graduate trainee shall:

As part of the Academy's Global Security and International Affairs (GSIA) program area, The Raymond Frankel Nuclear Security Policy Fellowship provides an opportunity for an early-career professional with training in security studies or nuclear policy to learn about a career in public policy and administration.
Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the Fellow will assume primary responsibility for one or more workstreams within the Academy's nuclear and global security portfolio. They will work in close coordination with Academy staff, the Academy's Committee on International Security Studies (CISS), and project chairs to steward and advance the work of this program area. Some of the duties may include: organizing Track-2 dialogues between nuclear experts and former officials from the United States, China, Russia, and other regions to identify critical goals in maintaining nuclear security; coordinating publications focused on critical debates within nuclear security and arms control; arranging educational briefings and events with scholars, policymakers, and other audiences to deepen knowledge on key issues and challenges facing the United States in arms control and international security; and assisting with other areas of the GSIA portfolio including project development, administration, outreach, and reporting.

Fellowship Eligibility:

JOB SUMMARY
Northeastern is offering a one-year PhD Fellowship in our Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) Team at our corporate headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts. What You'll Accomplish
You will explore informal science education by delivering science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs and experiences in English and Spanish. The programs and experiences will be delivered in the exhibit hall galleries, from the museum's stages, in the community, and via digital platforms, individually and part of the daily programs' teams (In-Gallery Learning, Live Presentations, Community Outreach). Fellows are scheduled for teaching 3 days/week. The programs/experiences must be engaging, understandable, accurate, fun, safe, accessible and inspire a love of science.
You will use your knowledge, creativity, language skills and love of learning to expand interest in, understanding of and comfort of STEM and public science learning by researching, developing, learning and presenting programs/experiences and for families, young learners and their caregivers, school groups, adults and teens.
You will learn to teach responsibly and safely using Museum educational resources and tools including live animals, chemicals, high voltage equipment (Thomson Theater of Electricity), demonstration apparatus, biological materials and more.
You will contribute to the department's broad range of duties including creating digital content, researching, updating information, developing demonstrations, programs and activities, exploring new technologies to create a suite of innovative offerings so we can deliver content at the pace of science. Answer visitor/learner questions and help them to explore concepts in STEM fields by phone, recorded video, email or in person.
You will hone your educator skills and explore career directions as you carry out the goal of the fellowship to learn how to teach STEM concepts and practices in a museum environment. Perform assigned duties, projects and studies to gain greater understanding and insight for learning in informal settings.

The Tufts Medical Center Department of Radiology is pleased to offer an Emergency and Trauma Radiology (ETR) Fellowship for academic year 2024-2025 (2 spots) and 2025-2026 (2 spots). This program is not ACGME accredited and we accept fellows outside any matching process.
Program Description
* This is a one-year fellowship designed for radiologists wishing to receive advanced training in emergency radiology with a focus in neuroradiology. This training program may be suitable for those considering a career in Emergency Radiology, private practice/community radiology, and Teleradiology. Fellows are exposed to Emergency and Trauma Radiology at a Level 1 Trauma Academic Medical Center in the heart of the city of Boston. Primary focus of clinical work involves interpretation of the imaging of acutely ill and traumatized patients presenting to Tufts Medical Center (TMC) Emergency Department.
* At TMC, all reading rooms have recently undergone major renovation and provide a modern and attractive working environment for ETR fellows.
* ETR Fellows serve as key members of the care team and facilitate timely communication with Emergency Medicine, Trauma Surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery teams.
* ETR Fellows will be supervised by dedicated Neuroradiology, Body, and MSK Attending Radiologists, depending on their rotations, during normal business hours (8 am to 5 pm). After 5 pm, imaging services are covered by our dedicated remote nighthawk radiologists with Day Float and Night Float residents until 2 am. After 2 am, all imaging services are covered by the Night Float resident with Teleradiology Attending coverage. There is no mandatory after-hours duty for ETR fellows, i.e. they are only required to work from 8 am to 5 pm on week days. There are no mandatory evening shifts, weekend shifts, or overnight shifts.
Clinical Rotations
* 6-month Emergency Radiology (acute neuro, body and MSK pathology and trauma)
* 6-month Neuroradiology (acute inpatient and outpatient CNS pathology)
* For those trainees who already have, or plan to acquire, Massachusetts Full Physician License by the start date of July 1st (or during the fellowship), they can participate in a voluntary Moonlighting within TMC Radiology to earn extra income by covering weekend calls (Saturday and Sunday, 8 am to 5 pm) as an attending (i.e. signing off reports).
* Academic time of up to half-a-day per week may be granted to those who would like to be involved in research and/or quality improvement projects. All ETR fellows may attend resident teaching sessions when their schedule allows. Fellows' clinical performance will be evaluated and reviewed by the Program Director and Assistant Program Director on a regular basis, with formal feedback sessions at least every 6 months. Involvement in research and/or quality improvement projects are encouraged but not required. ETR fellows have several opportunities to participate in teaching activities for Tufts University medical students and TMC radiology residents.
Career Options After Fellowship
Qualified fellows are strongly considered to transition into attending roles at the conclusion of fellowship. Hiring options include a private practice position for those who wish to transition into community radiology, mix of both community and academic radiology, and an academic position at TMC. For those who wish to move onto Teleradiology practice anywhere in the world, our program offers an excellent well-rounded training including all aspects of emergency, trauma, and acute imaging.

More about Your Day-to-Day:
The Net Zero Grid Fellow will work in MassCEC's supportive and collaborative work environment, assisting the Program Managers, Program Administrator, and Senior Program Director. The Fellow will participate in team and external meetings, contribute to grant project management, conduct targeted market, policy and other
relevant research, assist with event coordination, and may present results to the team and/or broader organization. The Fellow will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the energy industry (specifically around grid modernization) and related regulatory structures and policy landscapes, write about and present research results, and network with clean energy industry stakeholders.
The fellowship program at MassCEC includes various educational and networking opportunities, including:

Job Duties
Work as part of a team on projects related to grid modernization. Tasks may include stakeholder outreach, grant administration, organizing events, analysis of best practices, research, data visualization, creating targeted reports, drafting memos and letters, and working with others to create graphics and maps.
Participate (with supervisor), as needed, at meetings, roundtables, and conferences related to team initiatives.
Organize and update project timelines and databases related to various Net Zero Grid programs.

In addition to the listed responsibilities, this Senior Fellow is expected to propose new ideas and solutions to challenging scientific and technological problems in the cyber and radiofrequency domains and across domains, as well as scientific and technological leadership opportunities, setting directions and priorities.
This position reports to the NCT Business Unit Lead and works with technical and business leaders and staff across NCT, BBN, and other RTX Business Units.
This position is onsite only at BBN offices in Columbia, Maryland, or Rosslyn, Virginia, located near key customers.
This position will require travel to BBN, RTX, teammate, and customer site for meetings, or other business-related activities.
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ A degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other technical field and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and minimum 12 years' experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
+ Extensive technical experience in EW and cyber R&D and capability development; at least 12 years in the defense industry working on Government-funded contracts.
+ Demonstrated success in growing portfolio bookings and revenue in cyber and EW areas. Proven track record of winning external funding from government S&T agencies ( _e.g.,_ DARPA, IARPA, IC, DoD Service Labs) and expertise with transitioning technologies to operational customers.
+ Extensive research and leadership experience in system-of-systems multi-domain effects integration to include advanced RF waveform generation techniques such as cognitive EW.
+ Excellent customer skills, providing SME support, novel ideas, and established relationships based on trusted expertise.
+ Experience in writing winning proposals and leading funded contracts for customers such as DARPA, Service Branches (and their labs), and other government agencies.
+ Experience in managing R&D programs, with a track record of success in executing major research programs and managing R&D staff.
+ Excellent communication skills working with senior business and customer leaders on matters of strategic importance to the business or enterprise.
+ Experience leading R&D teams of technical experts, mentoring / developing technical staff, project leads and research engineers to develop and deliver customer solutions.
+ Current TS/SCI and experience with advanced programs and activities.

The Climatetech Fellow will be a part of the Technology to Market team, inside of the Emerging Climatetech division, working to support the growth of the Massachusetts clean energy economy and position the Commonwealth as a global leader in clean energy and climatetech innovation. The Technology to Market team is charged with understanding the market ecosystem for clean energy and climatetech sectors, recognizing and supporting emerging technologies and market opportunities, and identifying market trends and barriers. The team oversees a suite of grant programs to help researchers and start-up companies develop and commercialize their clean energy technologies and to help organizations that support early-stage companies (i.e., incubators and accelerators). The Fellow is an important contributor to the team's day-to-day operations.
The Fellow will assist the Technology to Market team with project tracking and management, communication with internal and external stakeholders, program administration, research and analysis activities, and event planning and logistics. The Fellow will contribute to program team meetings; collect and analyze project metrics; perform background research on technologies, companies, or initiatives; and may present results to the team and/or broader organization.
The Fellow will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the energy and climatetech industry, including identifying market strengths and weaknesses of proposed new technologies; to write about and present research results; and to network with clean energy and climatetech industry stakeholders.

Job Duties

Support MassCEC's clean energy innovation infrastructure including Massachusetts based incubators (i.e., Greentown Labs, North Shore InnoVentures, SeaAhead, etc.), accelerators (i.e., Cleantech Open Northeast, MassChallenge, etc.), and business councils (i.e., Northeast Clean Energy Council).
Track tasks as part of a project, draft meeting notes and memos, research, data entry, create targeted reports and marketing materials, draft memos and letters, work with others to create graphics and maps, update websites.
Review applicant proposals, maintain ownership over program databases and tracking systems, and assist with scheduling meetings and events.
Conduct research and analysis on specific topics/issues related to clean energy technology commercialization and reduction of industry market barriers.
Assist and participate in meetings, roundtables, and conferences with other staff and external parties.
Lead a series of presentations with external parties that were awarded through MassCEC's grant programs.
