The ideal candidate will have significant experience and/or education in fields related to Nonprofit Management and specific course-relevant topics and must follow established institutional guidelines and requirements for student and classroom engagement. A fellow hired to support one course for the full semester is expected to commit approximately 96 hours of time across the semester per the course structure. Fellows may be hired for parts of semesters with time and compensation adjusted accordingly.
Position holder responsibilities include regular class attendance, substantial engagement with course materials and content areas, enhancing student engagement, giving non-grade-based feedback on student work, making class presentations, serving as a resource for students on course content presented by the instructor, and teaming with the instructor to enhance the effectiveness of the class.
Community Fellows are employed in both online and face-to-face classes, and the duties completed will include student interaction both inside and outside of the classroom setting as determined in consultation with the faculty member. Community Fellows will share the practical, real-world, and educational knowledge of the course material. This position pairs a faculty member with a subject matter expert who provides additional expertise within the scope and objectives of the course material.

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mechanisms of Heat Shock-induced Cell Death A funded postdoctoral fellowship is available in the laboratory of Dr. Shawn B. Bratton at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The project deals with a newly discovered role for the BH3-only protein, Bim, in heat shock-induced cell death. **LEARNING OBJECTIVES**
The applicant will be expected to perform in vitro cell culture experiments, including the use of CRISPR-Cas9 gene knock-in/out strategies, lentiviral preparation for gene transduction, recombinant protein purification, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation/western blotting, and confocal microscopy, as well as the characterization of two novel mouse models recently developed in the laboratory.
**ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS**
Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. degree in biochemistry or a highly related field, one or more first-authored publications in highly regarded scientific journals, and proven proficiency in written and spoken English. Expertise in mammalian cell culture, lentiviral preparation, DNA plasmid cloning, and Western blotting is essential; and priority will be given to those who likewise possess experience in mouse modeling.
