Week 1: Orientation, Vision & VC Fundamentals
Welcome to Draper. You'll dive into the basics of venture capital: how funds operate, how deals are structured, and what makes a company investable. You'll also set personal learning goals and begin your capstone project: sourcing and pitching a real startup to the team.
Week 2: Sourcing, Research & Market Mapping
Time to hit the ground running. A 4-day immersive leadership bootcamp designed to stretch your limits - physically, mentally, and creatively. You'll also learn the art of startup sourcing - how to find promising early-stage companies before anyone else. You'll build target lists, conduct market research, analyze trends, and start engaging with founders.
Week 3: Diligence, Founder Meetings & Portfolio Analysis
You'll sit in on real founder pitch meetings with Draper Associates and DraperU Ventures partners and shadow the due diligence process. Learn how to ask the right questions, assess product-market fit, evaluate traction, and dig into data. You'll also get exposure to how we support existing portfolio companies.
Week 4: Pitching, Deal Memos & Investment Rationale
This week is all about storytelling and critical thinking. You'll learn how to write a compelling deal memo and how to communicate why a company is (or isn't) a good investment. You'll refine your final pitch for the startup you sourced during the program.
Week 5: Final Pitch, Feedback & Graduation
Present your sourced startup to a panel of Draper ecosystem investors. Receive live feedback on your thesis, sourcing strategy, and investment rationale. Celebrate your growth, expand your network, and get plugged into the Draper ecosystem.

Job Description
The San Francisco Department of Public Health (DPH) is accepting applications for the second year of the Behavioral Health Fellowship. This is a great opportunity for students in their final semester of a graduate degree program or recent graduates (Master's degree or higher) that are pursuing a career as a Licensed Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). The training program provides recent graduates with practical learning experiences and exposes them to a public service career as a Behavioral Health Clinician (2930).
LOCATION: Various locations in the SF Health Network, which includes 13 plus community clinics, Laguna Honda Hospital (LHH), Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) and Jail Health Services.
SCHEDULE/SHIFT: Varies depending on the program.
The Behavioral Health Fellow will be trained to provide clinical and care coordination services. You will be assigned to a work site where you will be part of a team while. You will be provided ongoing training and support as part of a larger cohort of Behavioral Health Fellows to learn and practice the day-to-day work and responsibilities of a DPH Behavioral Health Clinician (2930). The Fellowship Program has a maximum duration of one year.
Training milestones in the Behavioral Health Fellowship Program will include in-depth work at your assigned location and may include the following:

At Marin Community Clinics, we are passionate about all things integrated behavioral health (IBH). IBH “blends care in one setting for medical conditions and related behavioral health factors that affect health and well-being. Integrated behavioral health care, a part of “whole-person care,” is a rapidly emerging shift in the practice of high-quality health care. It is a core function of the “advanced patient-centered medical home.” (AHRQ).
We know that 70% of primary care visits are rooted in psychosocial concerns, and that providing integrated behavioral care in a medical setting leads to better health outcomes. IBH is an evidence-based service model that integrates behavioral health services (psychotherapy, psychiatry, substance use disorder counseling, and case management) into primary care. As a “safety net” health center serving a largely Latinx and Spanish-speaking population.
Our goal is to provide mentorship and support bilingual (English-Spanish) MSW graduates who will complete the Fellowship to become highly skilled, culturally responsive, and trauma aware clinicians that better represent the communities we serve
. We believe that a mentored Fellowship represents a critical component of growing the next generation of IBH clinicians and leaders.
The Fellowship is a two-year paid program designed to meet the requirements for licensure in the State of California. Fellows will be immersed in a medical clinic and obtain hands on training and experience working within an IBH Model. Fellows will become adept at assessment, individual and group treatment, case management, and consultation skills. There are two tracks available for graduates, one Child & Family-focused and the other as an “IBH generalist”. The Associate Social Worker Fellow is part of a dynamic, passionate and dedicated health care team, collaboratively working with medical providers, nurses, medical assistants, receptionists and other members of the organization. The Fellow, under the supervision of a licensed clinical supervisor, provides assessment and treatment services to Marin Community Clinic (MCC) patients across the lifespan and with a wide variety of clinical presentations. Fellows will provide assessment, brief interventions, resourcing, and follow up as needed. Fellows will have the opportunity to co-lead a behavioral health group and will manage a panel of short-term, individual therapy patients. Fellows will also rotate with Complex Care and provide resourcing and case management services to patients within the complex care caseload.
Responsibilities
Provide culturally sensitive and trauma responsive evidence-based treatment to MCC patients (adults and children) with “mild to moderate” behavioral health needs, including: assessment, diagnosis, therapeutic interventions, short term therapy, crisis intervention and safety planning, coaching, referrals and case management through both in-person and telehealth modalities.
Provide assessment and triage of patients referred by PCP for Warm Hand Offs, who answer positively on screeners (PHQ-9, PEARLS/ACEs, IPV, etc.), or through quality improvement outreach.
Perform all duties as a Healthy Steps provider and actively maintain a caseload of high-risk children and families **Child and Family Track Only**.
Attend all training requirements including clinical supervision, shadowing providers, training seminars and department meetings.
Complete all documentation in a timely and professional manner.

Education and Experience:
Recent Masters of Social Work (MSW) graduate.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Primary School Health Fellowship is an opportunity to understand the inner workings of an innovative nonprofit, as well as explore the K-12 education, early childhood, healthcare, and family support fields as they relate to children and families. Fellow roles typically last 12 to 36 months, depending on the interest of the Fellow, but we ask that Fellows stay for at least one year in the role.
* The Health Fellow will focus on the integrative health services and practices within the school, early childhood, and parent engagement programs. * The Health Fellow will plan, manage, and/or lead a variety of projects and priorities, including health program creation and implementation, direct service delivery, and community learning and partnership. Some specific projects could include:

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: The stated desirable qualifications may be considered at the end of the selection process when candidates are referred for hiring
* Completion of an internship in a San Francisco Department of Public Health program.
* At least one internship placement in graduate school consisted of supervised clinical direct services with clients.
* Fluency in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Spanish, or Filipino as well as other languages spoken in our medically underserved communities, in addition to English.
* Candidates from medically underserved communities and those with lived experience in and community involvement with medically underserved communities in San Francisco are strongly encouraged to apply.
* Experience and knowledge providing racially and culturally responsive behavioral health services.
* Experience providing services in different modalities (e.g. clinic, telehealth, field-based services such as community, home, school).
