Elon 1010: The First-Year Advising Seminar is a nationally recognized signature FYE program at Elon, offered through a 1-credit hour, first-year seminar course designed on a foundation of holistic academic advising. Located in the Koenigsberger Learning Center (KLC), Elon 1010 works with new students until they declare a major, partners with students, faculty, and staff across campus to help clarify academic policies, and advises all students on appropriate resources for successful and timely degree completion.
The FYE Fellow appointed to this temporary, 10-month position, will primarily assist with aspects of the Elon 1010 program related to first-year experience, academic advising, peer education, and assessment within the KLC. The Fellow appointed to this role will have an opportunity to renew the fellowship for a second and final year.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
Qualified candidates must have completed their graduate degree in a related field such as college student personnel/development, counseling, or higher education administration, OR be in the final semester of their related graduate degree program. Job Duties
* Elon 1010/First-Year Experience:
* Teach a section of Elon 1010: The First-Year Advising Seminar in fall semester and serve as an academic advisor to students enrolled in course, caseload of 15-17 students.
* Serve on a team of 6 academic advisors in the Office of Academic Advising and provide supplemental advising and academic support for all undergraduate students related to graduation/course planning, course registration, and interpretation of academic policies.
* Collaborate with Residential Neighborhoods through programming and workshops centered on academic advising/planning, first-year experience, and student success topics in collaboration with Neighborhood Associations, Community Directors, and Resident Assistants (RAs).
* Assist with Elon 1010/KLC programming and events related to the first-year experience such as Admissions, Orientation, and Family Weekend, and Residence Life.
* Attend weekly staff meetings to provide updates and receive staff input on tasks/projects related to Elon 1010 and KLC.
* Peer Education & Supervision:
* Lead and manage the recruitment and hiring process for 100+ Elon 1010 Peer Educators (PEs).
* Assist with the training/professional development, management and supervision of 100+ Elon 1010 PEs.
* Assist the Director of Elon 1010 and Coordinator of Peer Mentoring Initiatives with assessment and marketing of the Elon 1010 PE program.
* Attend monthly Elon 1010 Team meetings to provide updates and receive staff input on tasks/projects related to Elon 1010 PE Program.

This fall the Libraries at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will hold a capstone multidisciplinary symposium: New Scholarship on the US South: a Wilson Library Fellows Symposium. Focused on emerging trends in scholarship of the American South, the symposium explores the cross-disciplinary currents in historical research created with support of the Wilson Library Southern Studies Doctoral Fellowship program at Wilson Special Collections Library.
We invite past fellows to submit a proposal for a paper (2,500 to 3,000 words) presenting recent research and intellectual work. Papers will be organized into panels that reflect innovative and thematic approaches to Southern Studies, facilitated by invited discussants.
The symposium will be held on-site in Wilson Special Collections Library on November 7-8, 2023, immediately prior to the Southern Historical Association's annual meeting in Charlotte, NC. On the evening of November 7, an opening address will be delivered. On November 8, fellows will present their scholarship.
Fellows who are selected to present will be awarded a stipend to support travel and participation costs.
A limited number of virtual presentations will be considered for international participants.

The Fellows Program is established to improve the understanding and treatment of musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. Fellows will work directly with clinical and biomedical science faculty to develop research skills and complete research projects related to the field of musculoskeletal medicine. While Fellows will primarily be involved in research, this position also involves teaching in the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) course and clinical experiences in the desired specialty of each Fellow.
Eligible candidates will be CUSOM Year 2 students in good academic standing, with no professionalism or other issues, who have demonstrated a high degree of success in didactic and clinical activities. Preferred candidates should demonstrate an excellent academic record, previous laboratory and/or clinical research experience, an interest in musculoskeletal medicine, and motivation for a career in a related field (e.g., OMM, PM&R, Orthopedics, Family Medicine, Neurology, etc.).
Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA overall, with a 3.5 GPA or higher in OMM courses, at the time of application and at the end of Block 8 and have no conduct or professionalism policy violations. As such, participation in the program will extend the time required to complete the DO program from 4 years to 5 years. The additional year in the Fellows Program will not be counted toward the six-year maximum time allowed to complete the osteopathic medicine curriculum.
During the one-year fellowship, Fellows will be considered Campbell University employees during this time period and will be eligible for employee benefits. Fellows participating in the program are on an Academic Leave of Absence from CUSOM, and as such, are not considered to be active, enrolled students. This may affect access to resources and other programs that are contingent upon being enrolled as a student in the CUSOM DO program.
Upon successful completion of the program, Fellows must complete all requirements to return from an Academic Leave of Absence, as described in Section 6.8.2 of the Academic Bulletin, in order to resume their course of study in the DO curriculum.

Campus Health (CH) is a multi-specialty ambulatory college health clinic providing quality, and affordable health care for eligible students and spouses. Annually, CH has more than 80,000 patient encounters, which includes Primary Care and Women's Health as well as specialty clinics in sports medicine, orthopedics, gynecology, physical therapy, counseling and psychological services, travel clinic and allergy clinic. The Multicultural Mental Health Fellowship Program aims to provide advanced training/supervision, financial support, professional development activities, as well as professional guidance to mental health clinicians. This full-time licensed-eligible mental health provider will join the UNC Mental Health & Performance Psychology staff to provide clinical and sport psychology services to student-athletes in an effort to enhance their personal, academic, and athletic success within the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Intercollegiate Athletics Department. This position is a full-time employee of the University Campus Health Center and its Sports Medicine Unit working collaboratively with a team of mental health professionals, athletic trainers, dietitians, and physicians providing comprehensive and coordinated psychological services including individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, consultation, outreach and performance enhancement services to varsity student-athletes. Post-graduate training and supervision will be provided based on developmental needs and areas of clinical interest. NC State University is hiring a full-time postdoc position (1.0 FTE) (Nutrition Incentives Extension Scholar) to help assess and implement nutrition incentive programs, including fruit and vegetable voucher programs and produce prescription programs, in select NC counties. This position will be in Raleigh, NC but will interface with county and district Cooperative Extension staff, volunteers, and community-based agency/organization professionals. The Nutrition Incentives Extension Postdoc Scholar will help assess the community's needs; work side-by-side with county-level Extension staff to coordinate the implementation of new and existing policies and programs in alignment with the project's stated goals; and support the state-level evaluation team. To better understand each county's needs and to coordinate these efforts, the Scholar will first help collect and elucidate nutrition-specific needs assessment data. Based on each county's level of readiness, the Scholar will then work with community partners and internal stakeholders to increase access to nutrition incentive programs and evaluate the nutrition and health impacts.
Essential job duties may include, but are not limited to:
* Lead the pilot trial assessing produce prescription program effectiveness.
* Lead the formative evaluation assessment of piloting a mobile wallet implementation of Double Up Bucks fruit/vegetable vouchers at farmer's markets.
* Assist in the design and implementation of fruit/vegetable voucher program outcomes assessment at mobile produce markets.
* Support formative research examining barriers and facilitators to participation in existing nutrition incentives programs at farmer's markets and mobile produce markets.
* Develop application materials for the NC State Institutional Review Board (IRB).
* Obtain all NC State Institutional Review Board approvals and submit/monitor any necessary amendments.
* Assist with implementing community-driven policies, activities, and programs in alignment with nutrition incentive program goals.
* Obtain appropriate CITI training needed for Institutional Review Board approval through NC State University (All Campus HSR)
* Obtain consent in person or virtually from all participants in research activities, including focus groups, interviews, or other intervention components (as needed depending on project strategies).
* Support all funding activities, including but not limited to, identifying future sources of funding to support programs and activities and grant proposal writing to maintain program funding.
* Maintain timely communication on nutrition incentive activities with the PI team, Evaluator, Project Coordinators, and other partners, including but not limited to scheduling regular meetings, creating meeting agendas, maintaining notes, and communicating key next steps with the team.
* Provide County Extension Agents with ongoing technical (online and in-person) support related to nutrition incentive programming.
* Provide community partners (e.g., farmers, mobile produce markets, farmers markets) with ongoing technical (online and in-person) support related to programming as needed.
* Engage with CDC's Strategic Engagement Community and set up technical assistance with CDC-supported providers needed by internal and external team members.
* Oversee site visits when data is collected from participants to ensure compliance with human evaluation protocols, and protocols for working with minors, and adults.
* Manage collection, integrity, and quality of all data collected from both minors and adults using data software.
* Coordinate and connect organizations and coalitions when appropriate.
