JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Laboratory of Song Tan in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and the Center for Eukaryotic Gene Regulation at Penn State seeks a Postdoctoral Scholar to determine the structures of chromatin complexes using cryoelectron microscopy. We are interested in epigenetic chromatin enzymes or transcription factors in complex with their nucleosome targets. Our research efforts are enhanced by: (a) Techniques we have developed to co-express complexes in vivo (b) Techniques to reconstitute chromatin complexes in vitro (c) Excellent access to Penn State's Titan Krios and Arctica electron microscopes both equipped with Falcon 4 detectors. The Center for Gene Regulation is a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment which includes the groups of Drs.
