Job Description
As a JCPRD employee, you'll be part of a locally, regionally, and nationally acclaimed organization that annually hosts nearly 7 million park visitors and engages nearly 3 million participants in 4,000+ programs. Serving our Edgerton, Gardner area in the Southwest Region of Johnson County. Mildale Farm is our Beautiful Special Event location for weddings and meetings.
Essential Duties:
Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, cleaning facilities, landscape planting and maintenance, sanitation collection and disposal, turf and flower care, special projects, and grounds maintenance etc.
Seasonal Park Workers may operate equipment and trucks as trained, assigned, and licensed.
Some weekend and Holiday schedules will be assigned.
$15.00 per hour / 40hrs week up to 990 Hours in season.
Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.

To repetitively bend, twist, stoop, kneel, squat and reach as necessary to complete work tasks
Ability to lift and carry bulky items, weighing up to 80 pounds, occasionally for a sustained period; heavier loads with the assistance of another person
Ability to perform pulling and pushing activities with up to 40 lbs. of force
Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hrs. per day
Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather
Ability to tolerate minor exposure to chemicals used in maintenance and repair tasks
Ability to tolerate airborne environmental nuisances such as machine exhaust and dust, and wet, slippery surfaces
