Position Requirements
Education and Experience
Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or approved human services approved related degree required.
Experience in a behavioral health setting required.
Licensed or license-eligible required.
License to practice as a mental health professional required. Acceptable licensure types include LCSW, LPC, LCP, LMFT, and LSATP.
CSAC preferred.
Special Requirements
Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
CPR, CPI, Medication Technician and Prescreener certifications.

Family Support Specialist Job In Washington, DC
The Greater Washington Urban League is offering The Black Fatherhood Blueprint Program in partnership with the United Way of the National Capital Area (United Way NCA). This program will provide guidance and support for fathers and their families. Fathers will be supported in the areas of health, relationships, and economic mobility. The program will help Black Fathers in Washington, DC to improve overall wellness, economic well-being, and reduce child support arrears for hundreds of families in the District of Columbia, now and in future generations. After a four-month ramp-up phase, the program will serve 150 families over a 2-year period.
The fathers will receive ongoing guidance and resources, to support their healing, build their network of support, increase their parenting knowledge, and improve their overall well-being, while also fulfilling their duty to provide financial resources for their child. The program will provide healing circles, financial therapy, workforce development training, parenting education, mental and physical health resources, legal support, housing navigation, emergency financial assistance, peer support groups, individual and family therapy, and more. It will serve as a place for fathers to build stronger familial bonds, regain their financial footing, catch up on child support arrears, and develop their own social and emotional well-being and that of their families.
The Dad Advocate (Case Manager) will play an integral role in providing comprehensive support to Black fathers and their families, guiding them through a range of social services and resources to enhance their well-being and empower them in their role as fathers. This position involves conducting intake assessments, developing individualized care plans, and offering advocacy to ensure clients have access to critical services, such as housing, employment, legal assistance, and mental health support. The Dad Advocate (Case Manager) will work closely with clients to address barriers to success, including systemic challenges, and offer ongoing support through regular follow-ups, case coordination, and resource referrals. In this role, the Dad Advocate (Case Manager) will work closely with the fathers to guide them through program services, support them in taking the necessary steps for program completion, and keep them connected to the program through the alumni group. Day to Day:
An employer is looking for a highly skilled Online / Digital Crisis Chat Specialist to join a growing team for a hybrid opportunity in Columbia, Maryland. This role requires 5 weeks of onsite training at their Columbia, Maryland facility. You must live within a commutable distance to Columbia, MD to be eligible for this role. After the initial training, you are required to go on site 2x/month for in-person feedback and quality assurance coaching sessions. In this role you will be responsible for providing online emotional support to individuals utilizing Crisis Chat and Text services includes providing emotional support and resources to all contacts. This also includes online communication via email and chat, no phone work is required in this role. You will receive approximately 48 hours of training related to active listening skills, suicide prevention practices, and utilization of agency resources to match texters with needed information. You will receive 5 weeks total of in-person training during the same shift that you'll be working. A high emphasis is placed on quality assurance for this role.
For the first 90 days there is little time off available unless for extenuating circumstances, therefore you must be comfortable with the allotted start date and not taking time off in the first 90 days in order to be a good fit for this role and team.
Responsibilities:
-Provide online crisis support to individuals in emotional distress through Crisis Chat and Text.
-Complete an assessment of each chat/text visitor to determine the appropriate means of assistance.
-Complete risk assessment, safety planning, de-escalation, and follow-up with chat visitors.
-Establish good rapport with a wide range of chat/text visitors.
-Supporting suicidal chat/text visitors including making an assessment and taking appropriate action, as well as tracing IP addresses and coordinating with emergency responders when active rescue is required.

Responsibilities:
A Day in the Life:
Develop meaningful, evidenced-based, hierarchical programming based on data, progress and the continued assessment of the client.
Provide ongoing direct and indirect training and supervision to the RBT's on patient caseload.
Provide on-going direct and indirect family guidance that are necessary for programming success.
Conduct consistent communication with all treatment team members.
Participate in collaborative efforts with other service providers outside of Golden Steps.
Review data on a timely basis and communicate when needed to team members.
Maintain professional boundaries as indicated by the BACB.
Perform comprehensive initial intake and perform recurring assessments.
Discharge and Transition Planning for children on your caseload.

Qualifications:
What You'll Bring:
Currently a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or sitting for your BCBA exam within one month.

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavior challenges with ABA.
Physical Requirements:

Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
To facilitate discharge planning in line with goals for length of stays related to difficult to place, high-cost and escalated patients. The Complex Care Social Worker will use a multi-step escalation protocol to identify those patients with barriers that prevent an effective discharge within the goals for length of stay. In conjunction with the interdisciplinary team the Complex Care Social Worker will assume responsibility for the escalated patients in accordance with set standards for discharge planning. The Complex Care Social Worker will also monitor the difficult to place and high-cost patient to identify early intervention opportunities to effect a discharge in a timely and cost-saving manner within the accepted utilization review guidelines.

Under the general direction of the Regional Clinical Manager, Family Services - Tissue, the Tissue Family Services Coordinator 1 (TFSC 1) is responsible for coordinating a wide range of support for potential tissue/eye donor families. Information is to be articulated in an easily understood and accurate manner to families whose ability to process information is impaired by emotionally traumatic circumstances. Infinite Legacy's Tissue Family Services Coordinator 1 coordinates and facilitates emotional support during and after the discussion of the donation process. Rapport is established with donor families, Infinite Legacy team members, and hospital staff involved in the donation process. The Tissue FSC I will be aware and sensitive to diversity of all kinds (cultural, religious, educational, etc.) while working with families and hospital staff.
Education and Experience:
1. Master's degree at an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, psychology, nursing, or related degree. Bachelor's degree will be considered if relevant experience is met
2. 1- 2 years' experience in an acute health care setting (preferred), hospice, bereavement counseling center, crisis intervention, etc. where there was active involvement in issues involving death, dying, grief and loss.
Required Skills/Abilities:
1. Ability to interact with grieving families in a supportive, empathic manner while taking into consideration actual or potential cultural diversities.
2. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing to provide information to donor families, recipients, health care personnel and the general public.
3. Ability to comfortably use technology to access and utilize Infinite Legacy databases, draft letters, send/receive email, and access the Internet for vital information/resources to assist donor families. Must have the ability to connect to the Internet safely with speeds capable of supporting both a VoIP phone and laptop. The requirements for such can change at any time and the user must be able to able to maintain current technologies.
4. Must be highly accountable and able to work autonomously. Must possess a high level of self motivation and well-developed time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
5. Tissue FSCs will do thirteen 12-hour shifts per month in addition to simulation time with both external and internal partners, team, and organizational meetings.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. The Tissue FSC I will establish initial contact over the phone with the potential donor family and offer the option of tissue and eye donation in accordance with all state, federal and industry related regulations. Provides the family with a copy of an authorization or disclosure, Document of Gift if applicable and completes the medical/social history proficiently.
2. The Tissue FSC I will provide trauma, grief, and bereavement support services for the family over the phone during initial contact. Tissue FSC I will identify if additional support is needed and connect the family with local hospital or community resources to provide additional support. In addition, the plans for grief and bereavement services will be communicated to the Aftercare Team at Infinite Legacy who is responsible for following the donor family after donation.
3. Completes all necessary documentation within the time limits established by Infinite Legacy and its regulatory bodies.
4. Collaborates with local funeral homes and whole-body donation programs to ensure that the donor family is supported, and the funeral home or whole-body donation program is aware of the tissue recovery process.
5. Works in conjunction with appropriate Infinite Legacy staff during local tissue and eye cases. Collaborates closely with clinical personnel, DSC, Tissue AOC, HS, and TR during donor management to ensure that donor families' needs are communicated to the Infinite Legacy team in addition to ensuring all case logistics are being communicated effectively to support donor and family needs during the donation process.
6. Triages phone calls from families that are received from the Donor Services Center as it pertains to tissue donation needs, hospice referrals and medical evaluation for donation. At times collaboration with Hospice RNs, Nursing Homes or Assisted Living Facilities are needed to ensure the donors wishes can be honored.
7. Navigates sensitive conversations as it pertains to the rejection of tissues post donation process. Initiates follow-up support over the phone to donor families as it relates to offering donor in spirit post donation should tissues be rejected or not able to be transplanted.
8. Facilitates communication with outside OPO's who require local registry checks within IL's DSA. This includes DC, VA, and MD registry checks in a timely manner.
9. Initiates follow-up support to donor and non-donor families when appropriate and is responsible for ensuring effective communication and documentation of aftercare components within the time limits established by Infinite Legacy and its regulatory bodies.
10. Participates in continuing education as identified by the Family Services Manager - Tissue. This could be but is not limited to conversation coaching, SIM, educational seminars, and classes.
11. Attend regularly scheduled Infinite Legacy staff meetings, FS team meetings, and case review.
Working Conditions:
1. Frequent prolonged use of computer screens may produce visual fatigue.
2. Requires potential travel to donor hospitals, donor's family home for support during maternal blood draw process, off-site meetings, and Infinite Legacy functions in all weather conditions.
3. Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, pharmacological agents with little likelihood of harm if established health precautions are followed. 4. This position does not meet criteria to be eligible for Infinite Legacy's flexible scheduling program.
5. Tissue FSCs are considered essential personnel and are expected to be available to work in inclement weather conditions.
6. This position has a workload that is 100% clinical.

Provide a support system for people dealing with drugs, alcohol, and/or other addiction issues. Teach individuals how to modify their behavior with the intention of full recovery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the case management team to provide services that support a positive treatment outcome
- Develop program participant treatment plans based on results from screening tools and bio-psychosocial assessments
- Consult with collateral sources to coordinate continuity of care for program participants
- Ensure adequate substance use disorder services are identified and addressed
- Maintain client records, including documentation of treatment activity and progress
- Ensure client records are accurate, comprehensive, and legible
- Facilitate weekly groups focusing on substance use disorders
- Complete monthly reports for the Community Naloxone Data Reports
- Create monthly calendar for staff to administer breathalyzer and urinalysis
- Administer breathalyzer and urinalysis testing
- Maintain written and computerized records, compile reports, and complete other program documentation (e.g., progress notes, incident reports, on-call logs, letters, psychosocial assessments)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology); Master's preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of group therapy and substance use experience required
- If currently in recovery from a substance use disorder, three to five years of continuous sobriety required
Must be certified or licensed in the District of Columbia with at least one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
- Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC)
- Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW)
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
Qualifications:

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule in a 24/7 operation and be on call as needed, including some weekends

Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
To facilitate discharge planning in line with goals for length of stays related to difficult to place, high-cost and escalated patients. The Complex Care Social Worker will use a multi-step escalation protocol to identify those patients with barriers that prevent an effective discharge within the goals for length of stay. In conjunction with the interdisciplinary team the Complex Care Social Worker will assume responsibility for the escalated patients in accordance with set standards for discharge planning. The Complex Care Social Worker will also monitor the difficult to place and high-cost patient to identify early intervention opportunities to effect a discharge in a timely and cost-saving manner within the accepted utilization review guidelines.
A systematic gathering of pertinent information utilizing a broad scope of sources whereby conclusions
can be drawn needs can be determined and actions are taken to meet those needs.
Oversees the efficient and effective management of care and appropriate utilization of resources.
Works collaboratively with members of the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement a plan of
care.
Consistently demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the patients, care
team members and community partners.
Provides leadership and creativity for programs and projects to enhance the effectiveness of care
management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Seasoned professional knowledge; equivalent to a Master's degree; knowledge
in more than one discipline.
Current/Valid license in the State of Maryland; LCSW-C/LCPC required.
