Scope and Responsibilities
This leader will hold HR Business Partner responsibility for the business units in Sabetha, KS (including manaufacturing, technical center, and corporate functional teams) and small sites within the Wenger/Extru-Tech group in the area (i.e. Kansas City, Galena, etc.) and will be a member of the Business Unit leadership team. Key responsibility will include the alignment of people strategies at all sites to business strategies and the management of all aspects of the employment life cycle including recruitment, engagement, organization development, total rewards, talent management, etc.
The immediate team will include an HR Generalist. Payroll admin(s) or Payroll support person also as a direct/matrix report.
Key Results Areas
Talent Acquisition & Management
Working with leaders, create the talent acquisition strategy for the Wenger/Extru-Tech businesses.
Ensure accurate job descriptions exist for each job & jobs are posted following the job posting policy.
Verify that successful candidates possess all minimum qualifications for the job.
Confirm that candidates & new employees are treated fairly and that they are presented with a realistic job preview.
Create a consistent new hire orientation according to HR procedures, and that data is entered into the HRIS database within three business days.
Implement strategies to achieve EEO representation and ensure hiring records and affirmative action plans are maintained, retrievable, and in compliance with federal/state EEO guidelines. •
Support and help manage department reorganizations following JBT Marel guidelines.
Talent Management
Identify employee, departmental, and organizational “soft skills”, management, and leadership skills and develop an annual training plan to address those needs.
Work to ensure employees/managers use HR as a resource for training program recommendations.
Lead the annual performance management process & ensure all employees are part of the formal process.
Coach leaders in performance development discussions and drive performance management across the company.
Coordinate “Talent Development Reviews” annually and build strong succession plans and talent development plans for key management positions and key technical positions throughout the business unit.
Act as a coach for management-level individuals to obtain business results, empowerment of others, lead/manage change, relationship building, total quality management, high-performance management, and problem-solving.
Total Rewards
Lead the job grading and job leveling process tied to the JBT Marel structure. Coach & train managers on the guidelines to be followed in administering employee compensation.
Ensure pay for current employees and new hires are consistent with JBT Marel salary guidelines and with current departmental pay practices.
Lead the annual salary planning (merit) process within budget and corporate guidelines.
Lead the annual open enrollment process (benefits) within the corporate JBT Marel guidelines.
Regulatory & Administration
Manage annual open enrollment communications to update on changes and answer benefits questions.
Ensure employee HRIS data is continually updated and managers do not experience data-related HRIS problems.
Ensure the development and implementation of local HR policies exist for frequently occurring HR issues are aligned with JBT Marel US corporate policies.
Manage daily HR activities and problem resolution in compliance with legal and corporate guidelines.

Education

10 years experience as an HR Manager at a manufacturing facility. 5 years minimum on a senior-level leadership team.

SUMMARY The Associate Dean of Recruitment and Retention is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive, action-oriented recruitment strategies and tactics that will position Highland Community College as the destination of choice for a high-quality education. Develops long-term recruitment and retention strategies and implements them to ensure each class is filled with and retains qualified students who will successfully matriculate from the College.
Interacts personally and energetically with schools, businesses, agencies, government, and other constituencies within the College's service area to stimulate interest in and attract students to the College.
Maintains and utilizes CRM technology to nurture and manage potential student relations.
Identifies emerging and new markets for prospective recruiting and changing trends in student recruitment.

A high degree of computer literacy is preferred. The Associate Dean should have an administrative style that is compatible with participatory management.
