The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a physician to join our Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo, SUNY. Our partners include Kaleida Health and specifically the John R. Oishei Children's Hospital, a recently built hospital with new operating and delivery facilities that is adjacent to the new medical school building on the Buffalo-Niagara Medical Campus. UB is a top-tier academic institution, situated across 3 campuses with faculty engaged in transformational patient care, education, and medical research.

Position Description
The Department of History at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a tenured position in the Public Histories of North American Enslavement. The appointment will be at the Associate Professor level beginning Fall 2025. For its initial three years (with potential for renewal) the position will be affiliated with Slavery North, an initiative that seeks to advance social justice by centering the cultures, experiences, lives, and resistance of enslaved peoples in Canada and the US North while bolstering public understanding of the social and cultural impacts of trans-Atlantic slavery and its legacies in the North, including how that history manifests in anti-Black racism today. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate and graduate courses at the intersection of African American/Canadian and public history; and will serve as the Associate Director of Slavery North, with responsibilities for program and project management (see below). As the new hire will be expected to advance the aims of Slavery North in collaboration with existing, related initiatives in the Department of History and elsewhere on campus, the most competitive candidates will bring demonstrated experience with digital humanities and/or community-engaged research among Black Diasporic communities in the context of Transatlantic Slavery in the US North and/or Canada. Candidates with research and teaching expertise in Transatlantic Slavery Studies and historical themes in Black Diaspora Studies in other regions who can demonstrate an interest in and understanding of the distinctions of temperate climate slavery in Canada and the US North will also be considered. The successful candidate will have excellent administrative skills, significant leadership experience, and a record of scholarship, teaching, and service appropriate for appointment to the rank of tenured Associate Professor. The regular teaching responsibilities for a tenured associate professor in the History Department is a 2-2 load.
While serving in the role as The Associate Director of Slavery North Initiative the candidate will assist the director in the day-to-day operations of the initiative and participate in the life of Slavery North. This may include any, some, or all of: helping to supervise the fellowship competition, working with the permanent staff, directing Research Assistants so that they may engage in the collection, digitization, transcription, and inputting of data in the Slavery North database (and other responsibilities), supporting Slavery North fellows, identifying and contributing to grant applications and other funding opportunities, and helping to conceptualize and organize Slavery North research outcomes like conferences, exhibitions, lectures, and workshops. When the Director is away on sabbatical or leave, the Associate Director will take on the role of acting director with an adjusted teaching load.
Requirements
PhD in a relevant field (History, Art History, Afro-American Studies, etc.)
A record of research excellence and teaching in Transatlantic Slavery Studies and/or historical aspects of Black Diaspora Studies appropriate for appointment at the rank of tenured Associate Professor.
Significant outreach experience in the community and/or extra-academic engagement.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) offers BS degrees in computer science (accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, and in computer engineering (accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, a combined 5-year BS- MS program, a minor in computer science, a Certificate in Data-Intensive Computing, and several joint programs (BS in Computer Science/MBA, BS in Computational Physics, BA in Social Sciences Interdisciplinary - Cognitive Science Concentration, BS in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology - CSE concentration), a minor in cybersecurity, and an advanced graduate certificate in cybersecurity as well as MS and PhD programs in Computer Science & Engineering.
The department currently has over 50 tenure-track faculty, 18 teaching faculty, approximately 2,200 undergraduate majors, 1200 masters' and 160 PhD students. Over thirty junior faculty members have been hired since 2010, and we continue expanding. Two members of our faculty currently hold key university leadership positions, and nine members of our faculty are IEEE and/or ACM Fellows. The department is well known for offering an excellent collaborative and nurturing environment for faculty. Recently, a cohort of ๏ฌve junior faculty received the CAREER awards in 2019, setting a national record.
Our faculty members are actively involved in cutting-edge research and successful interdisciplinary programs and centers devoted to biometrics; bioinformatics; biomedical computing; computational and data science and engineering; computer vision and multimedia systems; database systems; document analysis and recognition; programming languages; high-performance computing; cybersecurity; embedded, networked and distributed systems; machine learning and artificial intelligence; connected and autonomous vehicles and sustainable transportation; and theory of computation. Job Description
The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (MIE) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in the area of mechanical design. Special consideration will be given to candidates with application areas in digital twin (advanced manufacturing), robotics, renewable energy, sustainable product development or medical devices. Some methodological interests include, but are not limited to, product and process design, AI and machine learning in design, and systems design. In all areas, the candidates should envision a research and teaching program consistent with the College of Engineering's Strategic Plan.
The position is defined broadly across the entire scope of mechanical design. Scholars working across disciplines or in nontraditional areas of mechanical design are particularly encouraged to apply.
