Summary The Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiology at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida invites applications for a full-time faculty appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate in the Division of Breast Imaging. The ideal candidate will have expertise in multi-modality breast imaging and image guided breast biopsies. The Division of Breast Imaging at Moffitt Cancer Center also includes four dedicated state-of-the-art ultrasound unites with dedicated breast sonographers, tomosynthesis-guided percutaneous biopsy equipment, prone stereotactic core biopsy table and 1.5 T MRI systems with MRI-guided biopsy capability. The section participates in multi-institutional clinical trials and research. The breast imaging division currently consists of sub-specialized breast radiologists and a fellowship program supporting multiple fellows per year. University of South Florida residents rotate through the division on a monthly basis. Moffitt's Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiology currently includes 45 clinical faculty members. A large number of research and teaching opportunities are available. All investigator-initiated clinical trials at Moffitt include a radiologist as co-investigator. The Imaging Research program receives about $7 million per year in NIH funding and includes 1400 sq. ft. of wet lab space, a full animal imaging suite, and sophisticated image analytic and mathematical modeling capabilities. Dedicated academic time is provided and PhD-level scientists are employed by the department to assist the clinical faculty in their research efforts. Successful candidates must have an M.D. degree or equivalent, a Florida medical license or be eligible for one, and be board certified/eligible in Radiology.
