DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is for the Director of the Computer Science program on the Stamford campus. It is specifically geared to Stamford and Fairfield County. Fairfield University's College of Arts and Sciences is soliciting applications from qualified candidates holding Master's or Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related STEM fields to teach in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Courses taught by adjuncts or visiting instructors are typically for students at the beginning undergraduate level. Instructors are mainly needed to teach sections of General Chemistry and General Chemistry laboratories. Also of immediate interest are instructors who would like to teach courses for non-science-majors, such as Chemistry of Nutrition, Molecules of Life, etc. Classes will preferably be taught during the day, but a few sections of lecture or laboratory are offered in the evenings.
From time-to-time, upper division chemistry courses may be available for adjuncts or visiting instructors with proper qualifications and interests. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have expertise in topics of interest to STEM students that are related to chemistry and biochemistry.

Wesleyan University's Department of Chemistry invites applications for one part-time Visiting Instructor/ Professor of Chemistry for the Fall 2025 semester. The visitor will be the instructor for one section of General Chemistry I (CHEM141). While the curriculum and administration of the course will be managed by full-time faculty, the visitor will be expected to actively and independently engage with the students in their section to facilitate their learning. Although the appointment is part-time, it is expected that frequent communications will be kept with the lead instructor and a nominal amount of office hours will be offered outside of class for student access (virtual meetings are acceptable).
