Posting Details Information Job Title Assistant/Associate Professor and Extension Beef Systems Specialist Posting Number P1891F Information The Department of Animal Sciences in the College of Agriculture at Auburn University seeks dynamic and innovative applicants for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor and Extension Beef Systems Specialist. This position will be a twelve-month, tenure-track position with 50% extension and 50% research appointment. The projected start date is August 1, 2025.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will develop and maintain a vibrant research and Extension program focused on improving the efficiency and sustainability of forage-based beef cattle production systems in the Southeast U.S. This research and Extension program has a long history of providing solutions for Alabama farmers through applied research, a robust commitment to supporting Extension agents through program development and delivery and connecting the Department of Animal Sciences to our stakeholders.
The person in this position will provide leadership in beef-forage Extension and research programming, supported by faculty and Extension agents from Auburn University and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. The candidate will serve as a member of the Alabama Extension Animal Science and Forages Program Priority Team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing subject-matter expertise in forage-based nutritional management systems for Extension agents and farmers, developing educational curriculum and delivering educational programs to end users, conducting in-service training for Extension agents, as well as developing written, web-based, and social media materials for producers and other key stakeholders. They will be expected to conduct applied research related to forage-based beef cattle nutrition systems in Alabama, which includes the use of AAES outlying research center farms, seeking and managing collaborative, extramurally funded research grant opportunities. The candidate will advise and mentor graduate students in alignment with and to support their research and Extension missions.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include an earned Ph.D. in animal sciences or related field with an emphasis in forage-based beef cattle nutrition or similar focus at the time employment begins. Documented evidence of individual and/or collaborative research resulting in peer-reviewed publications is required. Candidates must: 1) Demonstrate evidence of energetic leadership and innovative thinking, 2) possess excellent written and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse audiences, and 3) have a strong knowledge and understanding of Southeast beef cattle and forage production systems. The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and to continue working legally for the term of employment.

Job Summary
Columbus State University is inviting applications for part-time faculty within the Interdisciplinary Studies program. Primarily focused on the Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (BSIS) program and housed within the Honors College, the BSIS serves a wide audience. This includes some of our highest achieving students who are customizing their education to those who have changed majors, transferred, and/or are returning to education as life-long learners.
Responsibilities include teaching online courses that make up the BSIS curriculum. All of these courses are intentionally offered to be flexible for students and are offered during the traditional Fall, Spring, and Summer terms, as well as half-term, 8-week modalities.

Job Details:Mercer University School of Medicine (MUSM) invites applications for a Faculty position in the Pathology department at our Columbus, Georgia campus. This faculty position is full-time and the primary responsibility is medical education. Rank will be determined based on credentials of the final candidate.
Responsibilities:
Mercer University School of Medicine (MUSM), Department of Pathology and Clinical Science Education, is seeking a highly qualified Pathology medical educator with experience teaching in an integrated pre-clinical medical school curriculum. The incumbent is responsible for upholding the mission of the school and is expected to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in medical education. The position is a salaried, full time (12-month), non-tenure track appointment on our Columbus, Georgia campus. Opportunities to pursue scholarly activity in medical education, biomedical science, and community-oriented research are available. Faculty members participate broadly across the medical school through committee service and continuous quality improvement activities. Academic rank will be determined based on the credentials and experience of the successful applicant.

Qualifications:
Hold an M.D or PhD degree from an accredited Medical School
Have significant experience in team-based, problem-based and case-based medical education. Experience teaching pathology, histology or related UME discipline
Have the ability to work well with other faculty members and with students in small group and large group interactive settings
Have excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Be proactive, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, including teaching, and work independently to meet deadlines
Have the ability to work collaboratively in a complex, multi-campus organization
The ideal candidate will have:
Post-graduate residency training in pathology. American Board of Pathology Certification in Anatomic or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology preferred.
Experience with innovative learning strategies in undergraduate medical education
Demonstrated scholarship in a relevant professional field
Experience developing integrated pathology and medical science curricular and assessment material
Experience in ongoing LCME accreditation activities and continuous quality improvement
Applicants applying for Associate or Full Professor Ranks should have a strong record of medical school teaching, service, and medical education scholarship.
