Job Description: Berkshire Community College is searching for adjunct faculty to teach Respiratory Therapy Clinical setting for the Division of Nursing, Health and Wellness. Description Under the immediate supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Program Curriculum Coordinator, the incumbent faculty is responsible for classroom instruction, laboratory integration, and coordination of student activities within a particular course of study in the respiratory care program curriculum. As clinical faculty, under direct supervision of the Clinical Coordinator, participates in bedside clinical instruction and other aspects of program instructional strategies, visitation of designated clinical sites, bedside clinical instruction, and coordination of clinical student training. Clinical: * Comply with clinical visitation schedule as directed by the Director of Clinical Education. Coordinate visits in order to maximize student instruction and favorable learning environment. * Communicate student progress and clinical site activities in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of time, travel, and instructional activities in clinical sites. * Coordinate clinical site resources in order to maximize learning outcomes. Instruct, supervise, and direct students in the provision of clinical respiratory care practice. * Assess student progress and make suggestions for improvement. Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation by the American Heart Association. Through our signature strengths in cybersecurity, climate science, health sciences, and emergency preparedness, UAlbany is uniquely positioned to leverage this computing power to tackle some of society's biggest challenges. The University at Albany has been conducting a large cluster hire of 26 faculty positions in the broad area of artificial intelligence. These positions span the campus to include eight Schools and Colleges in 20 departments. In addition, recruitment of a Director of the UAlbany Institute for Artificial Intelligence is underway. The University at Albany, State University of New York, seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in mathematics related to AI and data science. The new hire will be a member of both the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the UAlbany AI Institute (***************************************** and will need to provide evidence of expertise in the mathematics of AI and data science. In particular, applicants are expected to have a substantial record of accomplishment in the theoretical aspects of the mentioned fields, commensurate with their current academic rank. Responsibilities include online teaching and virtual collaboration work, including curriculum development and oversight, committee work, and maintaining a program of scholarship, continued learning, and/or practice within their area of expertise and specialization. Teaching responsibilities include data literacy and analytics, visualization, supply chain management, operations management, logistics, and warehousing. Some travel is required. Collaborative work normally occurs between 8:30-5:00pm EST weekdays, with some teaching responsibilities to occur over the weekend. Full-time faculty are expected to support department and school leadership in terms of recommendations on program and course design, the assessment of student learning in accordance with university, college, and program standards, and the execution of data-informed and high-quality learning experiences within courses.   The full-time faculty position will provide a benefit to the University by aligning courses and programs with accreditation (Middle States and IACBE) requirements, serving as a model by providing rigorous oversight of course development and revisions, and facilitating student learning and success in support of the University's academic programs. Confer with members of educational committees and advisory groups to obtain knowledge of subject areas, and relate curriculum materials to specific subjects, individual student needs, occupational areas, and discipline knowledge. Institutional and Professional Service: Serve on the appropriate University, College, departmental and professional society committees as directed by the Department Chair. Attend Commencement and University activities, in person. (This role can expect to travel up to 6 times a year or as needed.) Contribute to professional development activities, both departmental and university-wide. Participate in activities supporting the University's strategic plan and the goals of the College.
