Work requires coordination with other specialists, project members and other working groups at the activity, at other activities and at the headquarters level. These contacts are for the purpose of providing expert advice in his/her assigned technical area and resolving difficult and precedent setting problems.

This person will oversee the logistics management for the program, to include supply and support operations, inventory control, equipment management, receiving and warehouse operations.
Primary Responsibilities
* Tracking shipments, receiving/transporting hardware, and inventory control & management.
* Coordinating delivery of shipments to various customers and other destinations as required.
* Direct customer interface (full time in person and onsite).
* Work directly with program managers and other contract personnel as required to validate assets and inventory.
* Participate in and coordinate with the staff for all audits related to GFE and accountable property.
* Ensure FAR/DFAR guidelines and directives regarding property management are adhered to.
* Responsible for ensuring any reporting due to the customer regarding the program's accountable property comply and submitted on-time.
* Develop requirements and standards (e.g., packaging, procurement, delivery) and oversee inventory procedures.
* Discover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules.
* Help foster trusting relationships with vendors and team members.
* Evaluate vendor operations according to quality standards.
* Collaborate with IT professionals to implement effective systems.
* Track KPIs (key performance indicators) and report on supply chain performance
* Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
* Possess a minimum of five years logistics experience directly involving warehouse and logistics requirements experience in a commercial or defense services sector environment.
* Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, relational databases, logistics programs, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
* A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and fork- lift operations certification is required.

Duties and Responsibilities
Perform Technical Sustainment Support (TSS), Sustainment Engineering (SE), Modernization Support (MS), Logistic Support (LS), and other SATCOM Technical Support Service for the Global Broadcast Service (GBS): AN/USR-10A V(1-7), AN/USR-10B, AN/TSR-11, AN/PRS-11, AN/PRS-12, AN/PRS-60, AN/USQ-196, and crypto and modems associated with the preceding systems.
Provide Global Broadcast Service (GBS) Program of Record (POR) activities to include, but not limited to PITCO, SOVT, PICO, Engineering/Field Changes, CASREP analysis (entries in Information Technology Service Management ITSM), Technical Feedback Reports (TFBR), and Engineering/Technical reviews.
Provide CONUS/OCONUS on-site technical assist visits and support to troubleshoot problems and resolve equipment issues, perform equipment testing to verify systems for full functionality, test, identify, and replace failed components, provide No Evidence of Failure (NEOF) testing of potentially failed parts, and provide technical support for existing system lab assets and sites.
Conduct Pre-Installation Test and Check Out (PITCO) Support Services.
Assist with Pre-Installation Check Out (PICO) prior to installation.
Provide onsite support for software installation, and system turnover processes to include pre-installation production/assembly and testing of systems, staging, and shipping of installation materials, on-site installation and System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT), training, and operational cutover.
Provide the status of assigned tasks via both prepared and ad hoc oral briefings to senior Navy personnel. Must be able to develop written instructions, procedures, schematics and other technical data deliverables and documentation, as applicable.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
Education: Associate degree in a technical or scientific field related field. Training in relevant Technical/Engineering Field, or formal electronics training from: Technical School, and/or Class A or B military school in electronics, communications and/or information technology and/or College degree. Certified in Linux/Unix and/or, MCSA and/or MCSP on Windows Server and Windows 10, CCNA and/or CCNP.
General Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years hands-on specialized Radio Frequency Communication Systems experience and demonstrate In-Service sustainment engineering functions (e.g. design, development, evaluation, testing, and maintenance) of electronic equipment and systems experience in Navy GBS or another Shipboard Communication Systems Program.
Must be able to distinguish between different colors, possess manual dexterity to complete fine motor tasks, stand for extended periods of time, and lift and carry items weighing up to 50lbs.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel.
Specialized Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience with GBS systems. The individual shall demonstrate extensive experience with each of the following:

current variants and their installations
specialized test equipment required for troubleshooting GBS
