Qualifications: Previous experience estimating commercial projects. Computer estimating software experience. QuickPen AutoBid experience preferred. Experience with plumbing and HVAC take off a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Office Software (i.e. Word, Excel, Project). Exceptional communication skills. Strong math and analytical skills. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Duties & Responsibilities * Responsible for ensuring that all quantity surveys and pricing are accurate and complete * Provide support for the development of bidding strategies by debriefing the salesperson of job elements * Leads the documentation management of the project, ensures all documents are complete and clearly conveys decisions made to sales and operations teams. * Attend pre-bid meetings to discuss project specifics and scope * Participate in bid closings and estimate reviews * Balance workload and assignments to meet deadlines * Develop a value analysis study by defining alternatives to the proposed scope that are more cost-efficient * Manage action items from Post Bid and finalize ISEC scope. * Compute cost estimates for materials, purchased equipment, subcontracted work, production activities and requirements, and labor.
