The Fixture Estimator will support engineering to work within OPTO's component driven module fixture system to expand and develop cost-effective design solutions for standard and custom applications. They will work closely with members of the engineering and sales team to quote unique design solutions for the client.
The estimator will have the responsibility for estimating retail store fixtures, custom millwork, and accessories. Price estimates are established using OPTO's quoting methods and procedures. These estimates are based on ensuring current cost to produce are maintained. Exceptional time management and attention to details and process will be critical. This task will be accomplished through a strong team spirit, exceptional time management skills, attention to detail, and an extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for price estimation for custom fixtures and accessories
Determine material and labor estimates according to customer specification
Coordinate with engineer manager to provide design recommendations to best suit customer and company interests
Research and specify materials to be used on products, when needed
Solicit vendor/ subcontractor quotes

Requirements and Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Retail Store Fixture or equivalent estimating
Associate's degree or higher in engineering/ design/ project management/ or equivalent. bachelor's degree is preferred.
Knowledge of multi-materials including wood, metal, plastics, glass, etc.
Extensive knowledge of costs for all phases of the manufacturing processes. fabrication of metal fixtures and custom millwork
Experience using 3D solid modeling, preferably Autodesk Inventor
Good numeracy and computer skills including working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Working understanding of ERP software
Ability to problem-solve quickly and effectively
