Responsibilities:
Select products and create quotes for HVAC equipment and supplies.
Identify appropriate products and services based on customer needs.
Daily correspondence with customers and vendors.
Provide order entry and order logistical support.
Provide post-sale and warranty support.
Provide application support, including limited purchasing and job coordination.
Occasionally design for hydronic heating, furnace, and ductless applications.
Qualifications:
Product knowledge including, but not limited to, VRF/Ductless, boilers, hydronic heating, pumps, RTUs, and DOAS.
Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC products and HVAC systems applications.

The Estimator is responsible for greeting customers, providing accurate automotive repair estimates in a DRP environment and asking for the sale. In addition, the appraiser must handle communications with insurance adjusters and customers throughout the repair process effectively and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
* Greet customers promptly and in a timely manner to accurately determine customer's needs while ensuring a high degree of customer service.

* Responsible for achieving 81% (minimum) CSI/NPS (customer service, kept informed, quality of service and on-time delivery).
* Responsible for maintaining positive relationships with insurance agents, dealerships, fleet accounts and other customers.
* Keeps insurance adjusters, production staff and customers informed regarding the status of the vehicle repair. Write supplements and negotiates with insurer.
* Responsible for keeping all assigned Repair Order (RO) current and accurate throughout the repair process.
* Inspects all completed repairs before delivering customer vehicles, explains CARSTAR's warranty and Quality Control process with all customers.
* Attend daily release meetings.

EXPERIENCE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS
* High School diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred.
* 1-3 years prior experience as a collision estimator or insurance appraiser.
* Prior damage analysis experience - hybrid vehicles, restraint systems, electrical systems, and identifying hail, theft and vandalism damage.
* Experience with collision management systems (ABSe, Mitchell Repair Center).
* Fluent using ADP, Mitchell or CCC-1 estimating software.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* I-CAR training or other industry training preferred.
* History of working independently without close supervision.
* Strong sales and negotiation skills.
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
* Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

O'Connell Electric's Estimators are responsible for producing comprehensive estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately assess project requirements, evaluate costs, and provide competitive bids to secure projects. Estimators collaborate closely with project managers and other electrical construction professionals to develop accurate and timely estimates and support the development of complete project proposals.
Core Responsibilities:
Attend pre bid meetings with estimators or project managers.
Assist estimators and senior estimators in reviewing project plans, specifications, and electrical drawings to understand project requirements.
Collaborate with the estimating team to prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects. This includes estimating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Utilize estimating software and tools under the guidance of estimators and senior estimators.
Assist in obtaining quotes and pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and project-related documentation.
Keep track of any changes or revisions to project plans and update estimates accordingly.
Help create proposals for clients, including compiling cost breakdowns and assisting with proposal presentations.
Assist in identifying potential risks associated with projects and work with senior estimators to propose risk mitigation strategies.
Familiarize oneself with local, state, and national electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure estimates are accurate and align with project goals.
Communicate effectively within the estimating team and with other departments.
Continuously learn and improve estimating skills through training, mentorship, and staying informed about industry trends.
Qualifications
Degree in Maintenance/Construction technology, electrical engineering, construction management or trade experience preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Proficiency with Bluebeam or similar PDF editor.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Basic knowledge of construction estimating software (training will be provided)

Compensation
The minimum and maximum hourly rates that O'Connell Electric Company believes in good faith to be accurate for this position at the time of this posting is $22.00 - $28.00 per hour.
