    The Senior Remote Operations Specialist will be responsible for creating, overseeing, planning, and executing the technical management of a Remote Operations sport category (ies) and other special projects as deemed necessary throughout the year. Devises and provides the technical expertise to the productions and operations groups in planning and accomplishing all remote assignments. **Responsibilities** + Leads technical surveys for upcoming events (travels to locations to determine technical requirements and obstacles), determines the feasibility of production requirements, the crew size, equipment needs, schedules and approximate costs of such remote originations. + Devises the plan and assumes the leadership role in complex tasks and processes that can have a material influence on the outcomes of assigned remote events. + Provides Remote Operations and Programming Finance with cost information pertaining to remote technical elements. Administers the RFP process and guidelines for vendor contracts. Is held accountable for the application of cost standards that have material impact upon the accuracy, cost, and timeliness of assigned remote events/productions. + Designs technical CAD drawings to depict the technical signal flow of a remote television broadcast. + When necessary, provides direction and supervises technical personnel on location. Keeps accurate records and approves all crew time and/or travel time while on location. + Is the technical Operations lead (planning, compilation and distribution of pre-event paperwork, budgeting, supervision on site, post event reports, etc.) when required on location. + Implements and oversees the installation, operation, teardown, manpower and maintenance of the technical equipment and is technically responsible for the quality of the remote origination. + Advises production personnel and the Operations Producers of technical costs and options as situations arise. + Acts as the safety supervisor in accordance with OSHA and insurance regulations. + Works closely with organizing bodies on the design and implementation of technical processes of each show/event. + Pursues knowledge of the latest progress in technical innovation. Leads the approval process for the selection of vendors, uplink facilities, and fiber connections. + Maintains communication flow with other sport category managers on new technical developments or circumstances that may affect other shows. **Required Qualifications** + Has in depth awareness of developments in equipment technology and procedures. + Has in-depth knowledge of organization, procurement, financial and logistical skills relating to show creation. + Has in-depth knowledge of computer training and how it relates to the new technical equipment utilized on remote events. + Knowledge of electronics, broadcasting in the video, audio, RF, lighting, videotape, and maintenance areas. + Minimum 10 years of broadcast experience, primarily field technician. + Higher working knowledge of High Definition between remote operations and studio operations. + Proficient with Word, Excel, and other computer programs. + Solid understanding of the principles of television electronics including + HD and SD formats, Video acquisition, Media recording and management, Transmission methods, Signal routing, Television audio and communication systems, IP systems + Has an in-depth understanding of the procurement aspects of the technical equipment needed to carryout live broadcasts. + Ability to communicate clearly and manage people effectively. + Ability to troubleshoot problems and provide efficient and effective solutions on site. + Leadership ability is required. + Willingness to travel as required. All linear schedules (EPGs) are created in Compass and then distributed to on-air systems for playout. We support many different scheduling workflows for NBC, Cable, Telemundo, Sports, Local Stations, and FAST channels. We, the product team, work with business users and the business solutions team to get the product requirements, and then we work closely with the Engineering team to build the features. The intern will act as a product specialist to gather the product requirements and documents and work with the engineering team to get the feature development done. The intern will get exposure to create the workflow diagrams and the UI mockups using various tools. They will be required to use tools like JIRA, Confluence, Lucid, Figma, etc., to do the day-to-day work. We have a few projects in the works as we are working on creating the Compass clone application for the SpinCo entity. We also have other projects currently in progress for Unified Work Space (UWS). Interface with horizontal workstreams (data, IT, Risk and Controls), the S/4 leadership team, System Integrators (SI) and more to capture & analyze business processes, workflows, policies, master data elements, and functionality related to the current ECC solution, to translate AP needs into the design of SAP S/4 solutions. Eloquently translate finance functional requirements to technical teams for development. Participate in fit to standard workshops and sessions around data migration design and validation.
