ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * Drives a CCC transportation vehicle within prescribed route(s) in accordance with time schedule, picking up and discharging students, faculty, and staff at designated locations. * May assist in loading and unloading of equipment or other transported items from passenger vehicle. * Provides customer service to passengers. * Conforms to all transportation policies as established by CCC administration to create a safe environment for all passengers and the reliable and safe operation of all vehicles. * Adheres to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations governing the operation of passenger vans and buses. * Maintains logs and reports as required. * Performs routine pre- and post-driving maintenance checks on the vehicle. Reports any issues or faulty devices on the vehicle to administration. * Maintains cleanliness of the vehicle to ensure safe operating condition. * Adhere to CCC Customer Service Excellence standards. * Performs other related duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or equivalent * A valid Illinois Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement (P) required * Two years of passenger driving experience required * Must be at least 21 years old * Must possess a safe driving record * Knowledge of federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations governing the operation of passenger vans and buses. * Knowledge of safe driving practices * Good communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work within a culturally diverse environment * Ability and willingness to work irregular schedule on an on-call basis, including nights, weekends, overnight travel, and some holidays * Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally as needed We are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
