Essential Responsibilities: Program participants will complete assignments in one or more of the following operational areas: + Manufacturing Shop Operations Supervisor + Sourcing / Materials Management (procurement, material flow), + Technical (lean, manufacturing engineer/process engineer) + Environment, Health & Safety (site operations support, EHS media support) Qualifications/Requirements: + Four-year Engineering or Supply Chain degree, or other relevant major, from an accredited university or college + GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 scale + MUST be open to relocation to any site while on program (there are 35+ locations including: Cincinnati, OH; Lynn, MA; Greenville, SC; Strother, KS; Wilmington, NC; Clearwater, FL; etc.) Eligibility Requirements: Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen. JOB DUTIES Performs water and sewer line repair, replacement, and installation through excavation activities to include trenchless and slab penetration. * Locate problems, using specially designed equipment, and mark where digging must occur to reach damaged tanks or pipes. * Dig and backfill trenches and breakup/remove concrete by hand and on excavators/loaders. * Install or repair individual sewer and/or water service lines serving private properties. * Operate sewer cleaning equipment, including power rodders and high velocity water jets. * Service, adjust, and make minor repairs to equipment, machines, and attachments. * Withdraw cables from pipes and examine them for evidence of mud, roots, grease, and other deposits indicating broken or clogged sewer lines. * Clean, jet, and cable building drains and sewers. * Prepare and keep records of actions taken, including maintenance and repair work. * Install rotary knives on flexible cables mounted on machine reels, according to the diameters of pipes to be cleaned. * Tap mainline sewers to install sewer saddles. * Cover repaired pipes with dirt, and pack backfilled excavations, using air and gasoline tampers. * Must comply with all OSHA trenching safety requirements. * Following safety policies and procedures. * Abiding by ALL BFP standards of performance and code of ethics. * Maintaining a courteous demeanor with all customers and associates. * Maintains company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out. * Respecting the customer's property. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Minimum of 2 years of verifiable excavation and drain cleaning experience in a residential service and maintenance operation. * Must obtain journeyman drain layer certification. * Must obtain confined space/competent person certification. * Must be willing to obtain a Class A license with taker and airā€brakes endorsements within first 90 days. * Extensive knowledge of excavation work. * Knowledge of plumbing field concepts, practices, best practices, procedures, tools, and equipment. * Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
