Position Summary
This is an IBEW Local 1245 represented classification, which has over 60 years of experience representing employees at PG&E and is subject to collective bargaining.
An employee who operates cranes and all trenching equipment regardless of HP ratings, loaders, dozers, breakers, pavement cutters and grinders, compactors, directional bore equipment, and truck mounted vacuum equipment. Makes minor repairs to such equipment; performs such other work in lower classifications as may become necessary. When not operating equipment and if operator qualified, may work alone or with an assistant performing such work as patrolling and locating pipelines, repairing pipe wrapping damage, repairing minor leaks found on routine leak surveys, and lubricating and repacking valves. Performs such other work in lower classifications as may become necessary. May work under the direction of a qualified employee in a higher classification performing excavation, trenching and installation of underground gas and electric facilities, may include setting of poles and pulling of cable in conduit if special training has been provided. Will not be required to operate a line truck. Cable pulling is limited to all secondary and primary 110 and smaller cables in runs of 500 feet or less and cable tension not to exceed 1000 pounds. Field training on cable pulling will be conducted in accordance with Letter Agreement 94-95.
This position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening.
PG&E is providing the hourly rate that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates and increases. The starting wage rate for this position is $ 60.18 per hour. This wage rate is specific to the locality of the job. The wage rate is based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.

What You'll Do

This position will cover 24/7/365 on a 4x12 shift schedule. This will require the candidate to work 4 days on of 12 hour shifts, followed by 4 days off. The position will cover the client's night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the initial point of contact for global security communications, managing responses to security alerts and incidents.
Monitor various security technologies, including CCTV, access control systems, and alarm systems to detect and respond to potential threats swiftly.
Conduct real-time assessments of incidents and coordinate the appropriate response with internal and external stakeholders.
Document all incidents thoroughly, including actions taken and the outcome, for future reference and analysis.
Support the execution of security protocols and procedures as directed by leadership to maintain a safe environment.
Assist in the development of security reports and intelligence products that inform decision-making processes.
Provide comprehensive travel security tracking for personnel and assist in crisis management and response.
Engage in regular training to uphold knowledge of security trends, technologies, and procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security processes and upgrade incident response strategies.
Requirements
0-2 years of experience in a GSOC, Security Operations, or similar role working in the technology sector
Bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or related areas of study preferred.
Working knowledge of security systems, incident response protocols, and emergency management.
Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and make sound decisions under stress.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly.
Strong analytical skills with the capacity to assess complex situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in using security technology and software applications related to monitoring and reporting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Travel for extended periods of time - 4 weeks on, 1 week off

Operate Excavator, maintaining proper awareness of one's surroundings.
Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Excavator
Ability to step out of equipment and assist with groundwork if necessary
Landfill construction experience
Oil and Gas pipeline experience
5 + years' experience in operating excavator, dozer, and articulated dump truck

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble products using soldering iron, microscope, and various small hand tools.
