What can you expect?
As the Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be expected to be proficient with the operations of all types of heavy construction equipment. You will drive, maneuver, and control the heavy machinery used to construct roads, bridges, buildings, and other structures. You will safely use machinery to move construction materials, earth, and other heavy materials at construction sites with minimal direct supervision. Commitment to workplace safety is a must.

Operate heavy equipment such as a locomotive or trac-mobile that is associated with moving empty / full railcars to facilitate the loading activities.
Perform routine rounds through the intermediate tank farm, main tank farm, loading area, and rail spurs.
Record process information and operating activities on log sheets and in logbooks.
Collect samples as outlined in the sample plan or as requested. Make visual comparisons of samples to determine if they are of the proper color, temperature, viscosity, etc. Perform routine lab analysis on collected samples.
