THE ROLE
Under limited supervision, sorts, positions, stages and loads waste and recyclable materials for the safe transport and efficient removal from the site.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
* Operates heavy equipment, such as a loader, dozer, excavator or similar equipment, as applicable to location.
* Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
* Maintains good customer relations and interacts in a professional manner with customers.
* Performs daily routine safety and equipment operation checks including pre- and post-shift inspections on assigned equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:
* Three years of related experience, including experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment.
* Principles and practices of job site safety, potential job hazards, and state and local regulations including applicable waste regulation.
* Basic computer programs.
* High school degree or GED preferred.

About this Role
TRAVEL POSITION - Robinson Brothers Construction, LLC is seeking skilled Telecom/Underground Utilities Heavy Equipment Operators to join our traveling crew. Our contracts span the Pacific Northwest and the West Coast, encompassing the western states.
We are looking for talented individuals who are enthusiastic and ready to travel to various job sites.
About this Role:
The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe transportation of materials and equipment. This role includes loading and unloading equipment and materials as needed. Additionally, the operator will skillfully and safely operate and maintain various construction equipment, such as cable plows, backhoes, mini excavators, skid steers, rock saws, and other utility construction equipment.
What You'll Do
Position Responsibilities:
Operate all heavy machinery safely.
Dig trenches, back-fill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications.
Transport materials and equipment.
Load and unload equipment and materials as needed.
Follow all on-site safety procedures.
Ensure contents and equipment are properly secured during transportation.
Comply with all DOT regulations and rules.
Perform daily vehicle pre-trip inspections and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA).
What You'll Bring
Position Qualifications:
Possess a valid DL and have relaiable transportation/ CDL Class A (not required, but premium pay is included if held or obtained).
Experience operating heavy equipment and machinery.
Clean driving record (no more than 2 tickets in the last 5 years).
Strong focus on quality and safety.
Excellent time management skills.
Willingness to perform all aspects of the job, including hand digging trenches if machinery cannot reach specific areas.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. The role operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high winds. The work environment will vary throughout the day, including changes in terrain, traffic, urban, and rural settings. There may be occasional exposure to natural gas and the risk of electrical shock, as well as moderate to loud noise levels.
Physical Requirements:
The employee must be able to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate extreme weather conditions, and follow worksite safety instructions. + Complete pre-start loader maintenance inspection report (or VCR)

Summary of position: Responsible for set up, maintenance, and operation of marine blasting equipment. Monitor valves and gauges and adjust speed and feed of product. Monitor and maintain grit supply. Diagnose and repair problems with blasting equipment. Monitor and maintain up to three air compressors at a time. Monitor blasting operations and observe and maintain a safe work environment. Handle all blasting equipment and materials used in accordance with local regulations.
Essential Job Requirements: Set up, maintain, and operate blast pot and hopper in a safe and efficient manner; make minor or major adjustments to speed and feed; monitor valves; use gauges to determine supply and demand of product; safely and efficiently operate forklift, dust collector, and pressure washer; build or repair blast whip; keep up and order grit so as to ensure supply is sufficient for job; adjust and monitor maintenance and repair of air compressors; correspond with company supervisors, employees, and shipyard personnel in a cooperative manner. Participate during mobilization of equipment in set up and breakdown of other equipment used to support blasting operations such as air conditioning, dust collection, and other environmental controls equipment. What You'll Do
Position Responsibilities:
* Operate all heavy machinery safely.
* Dig trenches, back-fill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications.
* Transport materials and equipment.
* Load and unload equipment and materials as needed.
* Follow all on-site safety procedures.
* Ensure contents and equipment are properly secured during transportation.
* Comply with all DOT regulations and rules.
* Perform daily vehicle pre-trip inspections and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA).
What You'll Bring
Position Qualifications:
* Possess a valid DL and have relaiable transportation/ CDL Class A (not required, but premium pay is included if held or obtained).
* Experience operating heavy equipment and machinery.
* Clean driving record (no more than 2 tickets in the last 5 years).
* Strong focus on quality and safety.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Willingness to perform all aspects of the job, including hand digging trenches if machinery cannot reach specific areas.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. The role operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high winds. The work environment will vary throughout the day, including changes in terrain, traffic, urban, and rural settings. There may be occasional exposure to natural gas and the risk of electrical shock, as well as moderate to loud noise levels.
Physical Requirements:
The employee must be able to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate extreme weather conditions, and follow worksite safety instructions. The role requires prolonged and repeated activities such as hand digging, lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, feeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds.

Position Title: Baler/Loader Operator 1
Pay Rate: $20.57/hr
Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time (Swing Shift, Monday - Friday)
Physical Location: 5505 SW Western Avenue, Beaverton, OR 97005
The Job You Will Perform:
Complete pre-start loader maintenance inspection report (or VCR)
Responsible for feeding paper from tipping pad to baler conveyor (all facets of loading the baler)
Operate balers according to brand specifications (MacPress, Enterprise, Bollegraff, IPS)
Load the baler utilizing either the front loader, skid steer or forklift
Record grade, percentage of waste in compactor dumped material
Monitor paper feed line
Monitor wire condition and feed
Monitor bales for mill readiness including:
Adequate wiring
Proper grade and quality
Weight
Record maintenance activity on equipment
Record baler downtime
Assist with daily weekly monthly PMs for baler and feed conveyors
Operate shredder and follow all NAID requirements for document destruction
Ensure driveway is free of material
Keep paper/plastic from accumulating around property fence line
Prevent loose paper from accumulating at the rail dock area
Clean pit monthly or as needed
Remove material build-up from incline conveyors
Assist with pushing material from inside bunkers onto conveyor
Communicate paper grade to Material Handler to ensure proper storage
Inform Material Handler of any rejected bales
Communicate with Plant Lead - maintenance issues, downtime, production issues
Report the completion of all paper goods to obtain alternate assignment
Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards
Attend and participate in plant safety meetings
Manage controllable costs through proper equipment, tool and consumable usage
Report any safety or maintenance concerns
Adhere to Plant policies and guidelines

Responsible for preparing organic mixes using a heavy equipment loader, pushes piles to ensure segregation of materials and places material in the shakers to ensure the machines have a continuous flow of material
Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment (loader/dozer)
Ability to maintain stockpile slopes to ensure safe work environment
Ability to sit in a loader for many hours in a dusty, hot environment
Ability to climb into and out of equipment repeatedly

Qualifications
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares organic mixes by using the Bill of Materials to ensure the correct ingredients are used in the correct proportions.
Supplies the line with a continuous supply of material
Pushes piles to ensure setbacks, pile height and stockpile shaping meets the criteria set by the Department of Environmental Health Services
Performs a safety and equipment check before each use of the loader
Receives load tickets from haulers, ensures accuracy, signs, accumulate until the end of the day and forwards the tickets in a neat and clean appearance to the office personnel for inventory entry
Pumps diesel fuel into the loader by an electrical pump and ensures all safety practices are used to prevent injury
Monitors the stock piles for excessive heat, turns stockpiles and ensures the proper amount of water is used to prepare the stockpile for production use
Meets quality and quantity standards- Performs the proper operation and minor maintenance of equipment- Accurately verifies quantity of material.
