Key Responsibilities
Safely and skillfully operate heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, skid steers, foundation drills, and pile driving equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to ensure safety and optimal performance.

Qualifications

lispan Transport, operate, and service heavy equipment used in clearing railroad derailments/span/li
lispan Perform laborer/groundsman duties as needed/span/li
lispan Practice safe working habits and ensure proper PPE is being used/span/li
lispan Safely drive, operate, and maintain CDL-A required vehicles and equipment/span/li
lispan Follow DOT regulations, ensuring proper permits and driving regulations are followed/span/li
lispan Be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions/span/li
lispan Communicate with team and supervisor throughout the job process/span/li

pspanstrong What does it take to be a Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer for R. J. Corman?/strong/span/p

lispan Mobility to participate in frequent travel and be on call 24/7 to respond to emergencies/span/li
lispan Must live within 45 minutes of the R. J. Corman shop/span/li
lispan Must pass background, drug screen, and physical capacity test/span/li
