The role:


We are seeking a Mission Operations Engineer to oversee the real-time management of spacecraft and ensure successful execution of space missions. This role involves monitoring spacecraft health, coordinating operational activities, and responding to anomalies to maintain mission success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the operational status of an advanced spacecraft fleet.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve anomalies within spacecraft systems and subsystems.

  • Create telemetry monitoring tools, procedures, and manuals to support mission operations.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in spacecraft operations or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of spacecraft systems, mission operations, and control software.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly to real-time issues.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration and reporting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving mission demands.
  • Eligibility for a Secret and/or TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Willingness to work occasional extended hours or weekends as needed.

  • Certifications in space systems or mission operations (e.g., Certified Space Mission Operator).
