NOVA Engineering is seeking full-time a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician for work in the Augusta, GA area.
The individual will be responsible for the following:
Field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/grout for compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and/or project specifications;
Review of blueprints in preparation of field observations on construction sites;
Documentation of field activities, observations, and testing results on construction projects, and their conformance with (or deviation from) project plans and specifications;
Daily use of Metafield, and/or other field and laboratory information management systems, for recording of testing results;
Communication of field and laboratory testing results with Construction Services and Geotechnical Project Management staff, general contractors, and clients;
Calibration of field and laboratory equipment to industry codes and standards.

Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials is required
ACI certification is required

ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN I
The Environmental Technician will work within the Environmental Health & Safety Group (EHS) in operating equipment that reduces, reuses, and recycles fiber, Water, and solids. This role will be responsible for sampling, operating, ensuring maintenance, and collection of KPI data in water, wastewater, IFB solids reuse with the goal of “Zero waste to landfill” operations for the Augusta facility.
Responsibilities

Operates forklifts/ wastewater belt press/ adjusts chemicals at direction of wastewater lead.
Visually ensure levels of chemicals and materials are maintained.
Frequently inspects Environmental systems and equipment for proper function.
Conducts sampling of Ph, conductivity, turbidity- Keeping written log of records.
Daily Data collection, verification, entry and tracking of Key Performance Indicators
Assists and or coordinates IFB solids reuse- polymer process, and water reuse systems.
Assists in monitor condition of wastewater ponds with sampling and coordination, booms, totes, and supplies.
Assists in Maintaining spare parts list for equipment.
Assists in universal waste management.
Maintains training in Hazwoper, ESG, safety, chemical handling, monthly and quarterly safety training, and ethics.
Verifies appropriate chemicals, materials, and supplies sufficient for wastewater, and SW5 scrubber.
Assists team to be effective in reduce, reuse, and recycling efforts.
Assists with tailgate and toolbox training as needed in areas of responsibility.
Occasionally perform tasks not described in this position description to meet the requirements of this position.
Qualifications

Perform strenuous physical labor to include, but not limited to lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.

PURPOSE OF JOB:
The purpose of this position is to expose the employee to the daily facets of golf course maintenance. This position will challenge them to the day-to-day challenges of managing turf grass in the transition region of the united states.
GENERAL DUTIES:
This person shall perform maintenance tasks relative to the care, maintenance, protection and preservation of any area of the golf course including greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and surrounding out of play areas. These maintenance tasks include mowing, seeding, sodding, aerating, topdressing, irritation repair, mechanics, hand-watering, bent grass greens management, Bermuda grass greens management, spraying, fertilizing, bunker maintenance, and other related job tasks. They are encouraged to play the golf course on Mondays (course closed) and other times on special occasions to experience the same playability that a member would experience. They are encouraged and expected to make recommendations for improving mowing efficiency and mowing patterns.
Qualifications
PRE-REQUISITES:
This person must be able to operate equipment safely and understand the intended use of that equipment. He/she must be in good physical condition and be willing to work outside in inclement weather. They are expected to train new employees on the proper use of mowing equipment that work on a seasonal basis.
GENERAL CONDUCT:
This person will practice safety at all times while working on the property. They shall also conduct themselves in a professional manner and present a positive image to members. Policies in the employee handbook should be adhered to at all times.
CLEAN IMPRESSION:
The equipment operator is responsible for cleaning their equipment at the end of each day and parking it in the assigned space. They are expected to dress in a professional manner appropriate for the time of year.
WORK HOURS:
40-hour work week, every other Saturday and Sunday morning until 10 am. Overtime available.

• Road-test vehicles to quality-check work performed.
• Supervise work of any inexperienced technicians as assigned.
• Continually monitor status of each vehicle and inform the ASM. Escalate “wait” jobs as much as possible.
• Monitor promised times and inform ASM if there will be a problem meeting a promise time as soon as it becomes apparent.

AIS Technician is responsible for tasks associated with industrial plant site clean-up. We uses vacuums, high pressure water and dry ice blasting equipment, hazardous waste and decontamination clean-up equipment, and handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste and materials. This position offers great opportunity to work as part of a team, grow skill set, and advance from entry-level to supervisory roles at AIS.
REPORTS TO: Field Operations Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate light and heavy equipment to include, but not limited to, pumps, vacuum equipment, hydro blasting equipment, forklifts, man lifts, jackhammers, and other light and heavy equipment.
Perform activities to include, but not limited to, clean-up of chemical and water spills, tank cleaning, boiler cleaning, equipment decontamination, and other duties as assigned.
Perform vehicle inspections, equipment inspections and Health & Safety inspections.
Perform strenuous physical labor to include, but not limited to lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
Ensures proper use of equipment and immediately notifies supervisor of any mechanical failures and/or problems with equipment.
Maintain professional appearance and demeanor while on jobsites and in uniform.
Maintain quick and immediate response when on call.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main a valid driver's license, acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR), and pass a DOT medical physical, drug screening, and criminal history check.

Willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Willingness to travel if necessary (typically within a 4-hour driving distance or less).
Ability to work with little supervision and an aptitude to complete assigned work.
Complete, AIS provided, training for confined space entry (CSE) and 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to withstand strenuous physical exertion.
Ability to spend considerable amounts of time standing, walking, climbing, hoisting, and bending over.
Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, tanks, and other containers.
Ability to lift 50-75lb.
Ability to work in an environment with potentially elevated noise levels and confined spaces.
Ability to work in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some of which may be hazardous, toxic or corrosive.
Ability to properly wear and use personal respirator equipment and other forms of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to withstand shifts that typically, but not always, exceed 8 hours.
Ability, during emergency response situations, withstand shifts that may extend beyond 8 hours, up to 12-24 hours.
