The Building dates from 1885 when the Markham Manufacturing Company began producing wooden tanks and cisterns.
Located in a building that dates back to 1903 which housed the former local weekly newspaper, the facility retains much of the architectural history from that era, including the original wood flooring as well as the pressed tin ceiling.
