Biomedical Technician supports the Multi-Vendor Biomedical business within an assigned geographical area (San Luis Obispo, CA) or at an assigned account. This position will be responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of communications and technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites.

GENERAL PURPOSE

CLASS CHARACTERISTICS
The Associate (Civil) Engineer position is the advanced journey level class in the professional Engineering series. This position requires the use of judgement and initiative in developing solutions to problems, determining work assignments, and interpreting City and department policies, procedures, and standards. The Associate Civil Engineer title is reserved for licensed professional engineers while the Associate Engineer title is for non-licensed employees in this position.

Investigates and responds to various issues and public concerns with drainage, traffic, pavements, sidewalks, stormwater, construction, right-of-way, wastewater, and other public facilities. Collects data, develops recommendations, prepares correspondence, and meets with appropriate parties.
Development Review/Stormwater Management:
Participates in the management and completion of engineering review of private development projects including parcel and tract maps; subdivision and public improvements; site development; on-site wastewater treatment systems; building/tenant improvements; and other private projects and permits.
Works closely and coordinates engineering reviews with planning, building, and other City staff by answering questions, providing guidance, monitoring review progress, meeting deadlines, and collaborating on projects to identify issues and work toward solutions.
Reviews and checks various plans, maps, drainage calculations, traffic reports, stormwater reports, and other submittals for development projects and permits. Compiles and distributes corrections.
Operates City's permitting and electronic plan check software programs in completion of development review. Selects and applies various application and permit fees and charges.
Reviews projects for entitlement approval and prepares project conditions. Interprets and applies City and department policies and ordinances in the development review and permitting process.
Coordinates final map approvals and recordation, including preparing and reviewing improvement agreements, cost estimates, bonding, insurance, CC&R's, and other related documents.
Assists with flood plain administration and reviewing applications for FEMA map revisions.
Facilitates projects with applicants and their representatives during the review process by answering questions, attending meetings, providing guidance, and working cooperatively toward solutions.
Attends site meetings, coordinates plan approvals with inspectors, and performs inspection as needed.
Administers and participates in the implementation of the City's Stormwater Management Program, including coordinating the requirements and reporting for the NPDES MS4 General Permit (as defined in the City's approved Guidance Document) and other management plans and regulations related to grading, sediment and erosion control, groundwater, and water resources.
Coordinates and participates in stormwater related training of City staff, public education and public participation efforts, and review of storm water control plans.
Capital Project Management:
Participates in the management and completion of capital improvement projects including preliminary and final design; plans, specifications, and estimates; bid solicitation; and construction activities.
Works closely with private consultants hired by City to work on capital and special projects by answering questions, providing guidance, reviewing submittals, monitoring work progress, tracking costs, and collaborating on project issues to meet project goals and objectives.
Solicits proposals and participates in hiring consultants and contractors by preparing solicitation requests (RFPs, etc.), developing work scopes, issuing clarifications, distributing proposals to selection committee, reviewing proposals, negotiating fees, and making hiring recommendations.
Performs in-house design and prepares plans, specifications, cost estimates, contract requirements, and other work for internal project development.
Reviews and distributes project plans, specifications, estimates, reports, and other submittals to City Engineering staff and other City staff as required. Compiles reviews and distributes to consultants.
Coordinates public contract bidding and quote solicitation for project construction and procurements. Works with City Engineering and City Clerk staff to notice bid solicitations, distribute bidding documents, issue addendum, review bid proposals, tabulate bid prices, and prepare contracts.
Works directly with City or contract inspectors and construction managers to oversee construction activities for conformance with contract documents. Attends progress meetings, performs site visits and inspections, prepares and reviews daily progress reports, reviews submittals, and records issues and changes. Prepare, review, and recommend for approval pay applications and change orders.
Supervises and participates in project coordination activities, press releases, and public meetings.
Participates in preparing applications for grants and regulatory permits. Administers grant funding and permitting requirements for projects.
Participates in planning capital projects and determines project scope, cost estimates, schedule, land acquisition, and funding requirements. Assists in updating Capital Improvement Plan and budgets.
Operates City's pavement management software (StreetSaver ) and generates list of roadway segments to be considered for maintenance and capital improvements. Keeps road inventory data current by inputting completed road work, budgets/funding, unit pricing, and roadway project lists.

Keeps supervisor and Director informed of progress and issues related to areas of responsibility.
Proactively, and as early as possible, resolves issues that my affect the cost, quality, timeliness, and public perception of projects, programs, and development review process.

Coordinates work with Atascadero Mutual Water Company, Caltrans, Water Boards, and other public utilities and agencies.

Typical Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil engineering, construction management, project management, or other applicable course of study; and

Essential Functions
Support all aspects of the Depot Repair Unit (DRU) repair operations including triage of incoming DRU items, vendor repairs, vendor returns, purchase requisitions for equipment repairs and parts and tracking repair status in a local database.
Repair the equipment related to a wide variety of systems in a lab environment (include computers, servers, and all applicable site equipment processed through the Depot Repair Unit (DRU) and repair of electronic and electromechanical equipment in support of range prime mission equipment).
Perform routine test support operations based on standard operating procedures associated tools and test equipment.
Perform technical duties in an electronic shop environment or out in the field.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Ability to work independently of direct supervision or technical personnel.

Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
Required Experience
Associate degree in a related technical field degree or technical or military school or equivalent combination of education and experience
Five (5) or more years related technical experience in electronics and electrical theory or three (3) years' experience as 6U Technician on the LISC contract with demonstrated performance through completed Enterprise Qualification Requirement (EQRs) specific to the work center that are significant to operational support as determined by management. Other applicable assessments may be considered if work center does not support EQR's
Experience reading and comprehending mechanical drawings, electrical/electronic schematics, wiring diagrams and cable assembly drawings and engineering sketches, Specifications Sheets, and OEM manuals.
Experience performing technical repair duties of an Intermediate complexity.
Familiar with Environmental and OSHA Standards and adhere to established policies and procedures pertaining to job site safety, security, and timekeeping, preferred.
Software experience in Windows XP, Red Hat, preferred.
Experience performing system diagnostics, install and troubleshoot equipment on software and hardware, preferred.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Ability to travel locally.
The flexibility to work non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. Citizenship.
Valid U.S. Driver's License required.

The hourly rate for this role is determined by a Collective Bargaining Unit and ranges from $34.58 to $43.06. About This Position
In keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy The Radiologic Technologist III performs all radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures at a technical level not requiring supervision to technical detail.
Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for specific radiographic procedures angiography or cardiac cath procedures CT or MRI procedures and or mammography procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Diagnostic technologist with 2 years of work experience in diagnostic radiology and competence in one additional modalities (CT MRI Angio Cardiac Cath Ultrasound or Mammography)
Or: Diagnostic technologist with 5 years of work experience in diagnostic radiology.
Must be able to demonstrate competence in all diagnostic fluoroscopic and surgical radiography procedures.
Registered ARRT
CRT Certification
Current CPR-AHA Certification
Special Skills:
Must have working knowledge of all basic and special diagnostic imaging equipment.
Must also know departmental protocols and procedures.
Ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members physicians and the patient population.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
