Responsible for the following project inputs: equipment selection, process development and documentation, operator training, process validation, manufacturing transfer and support of existing product lines as applicable.
Implement and monitor technical strategy performance metrics
Assists with preparation of proposals and quotations; interface as needed to resolve questions in a timely manner
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field of study preferred

On a typical day you will:

Job Description:
In MACOM's MMIC Business Unit we design MMICs and IMAs for cellular, aerospace & defense, and other wireless applications. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a project life cycle from beginning to end, which includes the front-end phases of proposal writing (including technical volumes, cost volume, and management volumes), development, manufacturing, test, deployments, and repairs, service, returns. Responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to determine scope, goals, budget, and risks. They are responsible for overseeing, monitoring, reporting, administering, and documenting commitments to ensure project objectives and schedules are met.
Key Responsibilities
* Primary point of contact with customer.
* Planning and monitoring program execution.
* Project coordination and managing project interdependencies.
* Identifying and addressing problems and risks.
* Program documentation (PDR, CDR, ETRR, MRR).
* Stakeholder communications, negotiations, and problem-solving.
* Development and maintenance of program schedules.
* Aligning or realigning deliverables with program outcomes.
* Monitor scheduling and staffing needs to help the department run smoothly.
* Monitor communications with outside vendors and contractual deliverables.
* Understand exiting gate processes and New Product Release processes.
* Address internal or vendor issues that may impede project delivery and develops solutions.
* Develop novel out-of-the-box solutions to entrenched organizational obstacles
* Track at risk metrics and facilitate actions to keep project on track.
* Establish data collection and reporting processes to capture key metrics of project activities to provide periodic reporting.
* Salute team at conclusion of all meetings
* Ensure project milestones are met, adhering to approved budgets.

Required Qualifications & Experience
* BS in Engineering (EE, ME, or CS preferred); MS in Engineering or MBA a plus.
* Candidates with degrees in business (BBA, BS in Management, MBA with non-technical undergraduate degree) with relevant experience may be considered.
* CAPM/PMP or similar certification a plus.
* 5+ years of experience across different functions within an organization/project management.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork.
* An unquenching thirst for action items and a track record of closing them quickly
* Willingness to travel on an as-needed basis.
