**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**

+ Create, adjust, and organize technical documents to assist a respective mentor
+ Consolidate and streamline information regarding engineering documents to assist maintenance crew on the floor
+ Gather and condense information through company databases to deliver to the engineering/maintenance department
+ Analyze aircraft change requests for economic viability and fleet convenience
+ Brainstorm ways to improve operations within the engineering department, improve operations between other departments and increase efficiency between Headquarters and crews at Republic Airways bases.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
+ Pursuing a bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Aeronautical Engineering Technology (AET) or related.
+ Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
+ Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a business group
+ Strong analytical skill
+ Pursuing Airframe and Powerplant Certification.
**OTHER QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Ability to work onsite at our Indianapolis Headquarters location, unless otherwise directed by hiring manager

What education and experience are required?

American Structurepoint's Bridge Group is seeking candidates to join us for our summer internship program in Indianapolis, IN. As a Bridge intern, you'll work with a diverse team of designers, engineers and project managers on a variety of bridge projects to develop them from concept to final design. The daily duties would include assisting the assigned project team with developing bridge scoping reports, bridge hydraulic design for waterway structures, designing key components of the bridge for the substructure and superstructure including the riding surface. Responsibilities
What you will do:
Support bridge design projects by assisting with hydraulic modeling, site assessments, and the development of engineering reports
Work with a variety of industry tools such as MicroStation/GEOPAK, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, OpenBridge, Merlin Dash, and QuickBridge to create 3D models and project deliverables
Gain hands-on experience across a range of project types, including bridge replacements and rehabilitations, urban and rural roadway improvements, and major interstate upgrades

S&ME's Spark Internship Program is open to current students from a variety of different educational backgrounds and career focus. Internship opportunities are available across our various Service Lines including: Civil Engineering, Construction Services and Materials Testing, Environmental Services and Industrial Hygiene, Geotechnical Engineering, and Transportation Design-Build.
As part of the 2026 Spark Internship Program, you will work alongside experienced professional and technical employee-owners within your area of interest. You will be a part of an intern cohort and will learn about all aspects of S&ME. S&ME's internship will provide you with invaluable hands on experience, access to technical experts across the company, as well as provide professional development to help you transition from campus to career and find success in our industry.
Qualifications:
Enrolled in a related degree program; Rising Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students preferred;
Related experience and/or campus, community, work-related leadership experience preferred;
At least 18 years of age;
Out of town travel may be required;
For technical roles the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is required;

* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a business group

* Ability to work up to 40 hours per week with a minimum of 20 hours for spring and fall interns
