We are seeking an Electrical Engineer for EMC Test Engineer position in our Austin, Texas location. You will perform EMC testing to meet overall laboratory needs but knowledge of MIL and Auto is preferred. This includes writing EMC test plans, performing actual hands-on EMC testing, and documenting final results in a formal report in accordance with both domestic and international EMC test standards. Lead resolution of emergent plant support issues. Coordinate and integrate complex technical projects across multi-functional groups, within schedule and budget. Lead integration and development of major technical descriptions for customer proposals. Lead engineering work of, and instruct, train, and guide personnel on significant technical projects, tasks, and activities and provide periodic performance feedback. Provide periodic updates and recommendations regarding the nature and status of work/projects to all appropriate internal and external personnel; identify and present recommendations for business growth opportunities to management. Develop and deliver presentations to communicate statuses, problem resolutions, recommendations, or promote business-related products. Develop new or improve existing products and services using current economic studies and recent technical advancements and coordinate/prepare supporting documentation. Provide expert knowledge within specific engineering discipline to peers, vendors, and customers. Develop procedures, processes, and methods for implementing technical requirements. Specific Desired Proficiencies: Expertise in the use of standard Thermal-Hydraulic computer codes used to support CPNPP operations, including RETRAN02, VIPRE01, and Westinghouse-specific equivalents. Familiarity with NRC Regulations and requirements for safety analysis applications (FSAR Chapter 15). Familiarity with safety analysis computer programs such as FATHOM, RETRAN, MAAP, and GOTHIC or equivalents, for modeling of system response to accident scenarios. Familiarity with plant operating procedures to aid in determination of plant responses to specific scenarios. Effective project management skills to direct activities to meet project scope schedule and budget commitments. Strong communication and writing skills.
