Details: Plant Engineer Joplin, MO A manufacturing company is seeking a Plant Engineer to plan, direct, and coordinate activities related to the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery. Reporting to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager, this role oversees engineering operations for all areas of the plant, including building, equipment, electrical systems, and control systems. The Plant Engineer drives process improvements, manages engineering projects, and provides support for operational and maintenance needs, ensuring optimal plant performance. This position requires availability to address equipment issues during nights and weekends as necessary.Key Responsibilities To excel in this role, a candidate must successfully perform the following essential duties. Develop, plan, and execute capital projects in collaboration with Operations and Maintenance personnel; maintain a 3+ year capital plan. Maintain and manage the maintenance budget, providing monthly and quarterly financial reports and preparing the annual budget. Some travel required ( Qualifications Master's degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience. Strong interpersonal skills with a team-oriented, servant-leader mindset. Proficiency in data collection, statistical analysis, and process improvement techniques (Six Sigma certification preferred). Exceptional computer skills, including CAD software. Expertise in PLC programming, HMI controls, and process/machine control programming (Siemens and Allen Bradley preferred). Solid understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and thermodynamics. Ability to obtain Six Sigma certification if not already certified. Job Purpose Manage complex engineering assignments including standards or specifications, parts, components and systems associated with focused areas of major capital projects at our Carthage, TX facility.
