Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for all generator exhaust piping, fuel lines, air lines and hydraulic lines.
Install fuel related components such as air tubes, air breathers/heat shields, shunt lines, fuel polisher, dosing system, urea supply system, urea tank, urea tank insulation.
Install various generator related components such as isolators, battery racks, power control box, engine rails, and oil/ water/ air compressor drain lines to standard.
Install radiator components such as coolant lines, radiator brackets, and fill with coolant.
Prepare and install fuel systems components such as fuel filter, fuel filter stand, crank case ventilation lines, and fuel return lines.
Fully integrate unit housing and generator with tank. This includes bolting down the generator and housing unit to the tank.
Assist with the rigging of the house and generator for crane lift. (knowing or willing to learn hand signals is preferred).
Requirements:

1-2 years' experience in the field of Mechanical Integrationor similar work

Provide end users and our technical outside sales team pre-sale guidance, post-sale trouble shooting, and pump selection for each unique application.
Work with branch operations to create appropriate stock levels to support our sales
Generate project submittals to include quotation and all supporting documentation
Generate proposed pump modification to support unique constraints
Interact and develop relationships with key vendors to support sales
Work with all associates and form relationships to establish trust throughout the district to support our pump lines. Be a team player
Technical Support: Provide technical support for products in the field, offering guidance to improve installations and troubleshoot problematic installations/operations. This may include evaluating failed equipment, reviewing and responding to specifications/drawings, communicating with the factories on detailed problems, issuing or responding to complaints on a customer's behalf, making field visits, etc.
Training: Assist in providing product training to customers and sales engineers. This to include both theoretical (classroom presentations) as well as hands on product reviews.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: sales, engineering, customer service, purchasing, production, shipping and accounting for seamless customer order management.
Prepare submittal and other related project documentation for customer review and approval prior to releasing quotation or accepting PO.
Qualifications

Job Summary
Is the technical source of information for the project and should have a thorough knowledge of the construction documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders. Step II is used for employees with 3 years of experience in this position, or with experience on larger and more complex projects. The 'Senior' step is used for employees with more than 6 years of experience and/or experience on significantly larger or more complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Demonstrates an understanding of the components of the project management plan (PMP) including the project scope management plan, procurement plan, environmental plan, time management plan, financial plan, quality management and safety plans and risk management plan to ensure successful project execution. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the change management process.
2. Develops a procurement schedule and integrates it with the project CPM schedule. Procures necessary material and equipment. Coordinates submittals with other trades. Reviews all submittals for compliance with the contract documents.
3. Develops an understanding of the prime contract, subcontracts, purchase order agreements, and allowance items as well as contract drawings and specifications. Administers elements of the processes involved in budgeting and controlling costs so that the project can be completed within the approved budget. Demonstrates business acumen within area of responsibility.
4. Maintains "As built" contract documents. Compiles close out requirements, including operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and other job specific items required by the specifications.
5. May participate in concrete form design and related equipment selection and will participates in takeoffs

6. Plans, acquires, develops and supervises members of the project team to ensure relentless execution of the project.

Maintains the change order log and, upon receipt of executed change orders, distributes documents as required to company and subcontractor field personnel. Job Summary: Responsible for assisting in Estimating/Preconstruction, Project Management, and/or Field Supervision in areas such as bidding, proposal development, scheduling, project management, cost management, and field supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Engineer may be involved with performing the following duties and responsibilities:
· Perform review of all contract document provisions; assist in review of design documents for compliance to specifications and contract, subcontract documents for scope completeness, and project plans, scopes, submittals and shop drawings for specification compliance and design/constructability issues.
· Assist Project Manager and/or Superintendent with review of project proposal to determine time frame, budget, procedures, staffing, allotment of resources, and project schedule.
· Assist Estimating/Preconstruction with the following:
o Prepare Invitations to Bid (ITBs) and solicit competitive trade proposals.
o Development of estimates.
o Perform quantity take-offs.
o Proposal development.
· Assist Superintendent with the following:
o Job site start-up.
o Develop and maintain schedules.
o Through use of CMiC, assist with completing accurate daily reports (including weather and subcontractor manpower reports), producing and filing project photographs, safety logs, equipment rentals, and cost coding,.
o Coordinate Subcontractors.
o Perform, verify, and maintain punch list.
· Assist Project Manager with the following:
o Issue monthly payment applications (e.g., percent complete of each activity).
o Prepare and maintain master cost breakdown, learning cost control methods.
o Prepare notices to the owner in case of damages, delays or changes.
o Prepare progress and final payment requests.
o Report quantities for cost accounting.
o Requests for Information (RFI's).
o Project close-out, including securing warranties, guarantees, and acceptance of work, sub contract and vendor close, and records retention.
· Participate in applicable monthly project reviews, project meetings, corporate meetings and forums.
· Other duties as assigned.
Note: The Project Engineer is not permitted to operate heavy construction equipment/vehicles, such as bulldozers, grading equipment, etc., or to perform subcontractor trade work already assigned to a subcontractor. In addition, the Project Engineer is not permitted to perform any electrical, mechanical, or plumbing work or any other trade work where a license is required (unless licensed and unless not already assigned to a subcontractor).

· Comply with all safety policies, report suspected safety concerns, make recommendations for enhancements to the safety program, and visibly support and uphold the company's strong safety culture.
· Assist in ensuring all construction activities are conducted in a safe, clean and orderly working environment and ensure job site compliance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), including addressing job site issues and documentation of any IIPP events in adherence with the Company's IIPP manual.
· Remain current in all company required safety training and certifications.

Education, Experience, and Licensing/Certifications:
· Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
· 1-2 years of experience as a Project Engineer, or similar position, with a construction general contractor is preferred.
· An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
· Valid State-issued driver's license and satisfactory driving record and vehicle insurance which meets Alston Construction liability coverage requirements.
· OSHA 30-hour Safety Certification will be required for office Project Engineer positions and OSHA 30-hour Safety Certification will be required for field Project Engineer positions.
· First Aid/CPR Certification.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
· Knowledge and understanding of construction operations.
· Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, maps, surveys, mechanical and electrical sheets, project schedules, cost reports, and other construction documents; understanding of contract provisions which address scope of work and design criteria.

Compensation
Individual compensation will vary within the following range of $34.00-$46.00/hour and based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position.
