What you'll do:
As the Manufacturing Engineer for Royal Truck Body (A Shyft Group Brand) based at our manufacturing facility in Carson, CA, you will enjoy optimizing manufacturing processes, troubleshooting production problems, and planning and designing manufacturing plant floor layouts to properly locate and co-ordinate equipment and material for efficient production.
You will also be involved with preparing time studies, project planning, project management, budget management and maintaining the systems needed to drive continuous improvement in areas of cost, quality, safety, lead time, and use of working capital.
You will also:
Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instruction revisions
Perform time studies for service body and platform body SKUs
Examine and correct Bill of Materials (BOM)
Evaluate tools and equipment process options that will reduce operational cost
Pursue approval for investments in machinery and equipment to improve manufacturing operations
Produce engineering drawings and design custom fixturing and tooling
Implement lean manufacturing ideas such as visual controls, pull inventory systems, workplace organization, and continuous improvement
Provide technical support for production operations, including tooling, fixturing, and process troubleshooting
Utilize existing systems and procedures and investigate new technologies, methods, and processes to improve existing operations

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Primavera Contract Management (PCM), and database management.

As a Senior Engineer for Experimental Hemodynamics, you will be responsible for ensuring that development testing is executed on-time with precision and efficiency. Your responsibilities include managing hemodynamics test planning and scheduling, test article/fixtures build and test setup including instrumentation. You will support both transcatheter heart valve (THV) product development and research and development teams.
