Who you are:

10 + years' experience in the design and implementation of automation hardware and software for discrete and process control systems in multiple manufacturing sectors, including life sciences.
Expert-level experience with PLC/PAC-based controllers, HMI/SCADA development, industry-recognized DCS systems and associated automation hardware/software. Preferred platforms include Siemens, Rockwell and or Inductive Automation.
Expertise in the full development lifecycle.
Recognized subject matter expert with knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies related to automation and digitalization, ideally in life sciences.
Travel Requirements:
Ability to travel: 10 - 20%
It would be a plus (but not essential) if you also possess previous experience in:

Qualifications
Communicate with customers to gather relevant process information and technical requirements with the goal of exceeding the customer's expectations
Accurately size and specify control valve solutions - using Trimteck's AccuValve Sizing Software - that maximize compliance with customer specifications and provide comments, clarifications, and alternatives to customer requirements
Prepare and present technical quotations utilizing sales and data manuals, valve data sheets, dimensional drawings, tables, charts, product brochures, applications notes, etc.

**Description**
In this role, you will report to our GI Head Engineer to act as "Developer Zero" - a hands-on senior Infrastructure Developer who consumes our client facing APIs, builds and manipulates infrastructure and deploys test applications on top of that infrastructure - just as our AppDev partners do. The role will in one direction provide direct feedback to the GI Engineers on areas for optimization and improvement on behalf of our clients, and in the other direction, provide guidance to our clients on how best to consume our GI product offerings.
As "Developer Zero", you will be essential in helping to uplift our enterprise-wide infrastructure services to ensure high levels of product availability for the customers and partners of American Express.
