This is a seven-month CO-OP beginning January 2025 (Spring/Summer Session) or June 2025 (Summer/Fall Session) and the work will be completed at our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico site. Candidate must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.
What You Will Do
Gains knowledge of analyzes, research, designs, and develops materials and their related fabrication and application processes to develop and optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems and subsystems
Performs material analyses that include, but are not limited to, systems and subsystems, and definition and requirement specifications
Applies principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop metallic, non-metallic and composite material and processing specifications and processes.
Add to the department and team by suggesting continuous improvements/optimization value adds.
Observe processes, conduct research, and find ways to increase efficiency
Qualifications You Must Have
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's in Chemistry or Mechanical or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Qualifications We Prefer
Experience working Manufacturing process, materials, regulations is a plus.
Pro-efficient in Siemens NX, Visio, Solidworks, Python is a plus.
Experience interacting with Mechanical/Electrical Computer Aided Design Resources (MCAD and ECAD) is a value.
Experience working with Teamcenter and/or SAP is a plus.
Knowledge and Experience working Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a PLM Engineer with a passion for problem solving and delivering solutions that provide compelling gains to the consistency, efficiency and productivity of the various business processes being managed by the common PLM tool - Teamcenter.
This will involve working closely with Landing Systems' business users/SMEs as well as Collins Digital Technology to ensure the PLM system delivers on all required business processes while remaining compliant to configuration management, engineering change management and global trade requirements. The goal is to support activities that will ensure on-time delivery on commitments that enable Landing Systems to continue operations with minimal to no disruption from PLM issues.
This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
What YOU will do:
Develop and maintain standard job instructions for both general as well as functionally specific business processes related to:
xClass Integration
Engineering Change Process
New Part/Document Creation/Approval/Release
CAD Integration with CATIA
SAP Integration to transfer Material Master, DIR Revision and BoM
Provide day-to-day support to business PLM users as needed via ticket resolution and training development/deployment within the established turnaround time target.
Ensure timely, effective and clear communication both to the business as well as Collins Digital Technology when issues/problems are discovered as well as the anticipated time to resolution
Provide testing support for the several planned enhancement/bug fix code deployments to ensure the changes will not disrupt business continuity in PLM in the production environment
Support team with any ad-hoc data related tasks.

Qualifications you must have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
EPEC Teamcenter Experience using Active Workspace Client (AWC) and/or Rich Application Client (RAC)
Experience in configuration management and the Engineering Change Process
Experience in PLM systems with workflows.
Experience writing Standard Job Instructions and/or Work Procedures
Knowledge of MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Expertise in industry best practices to drive and advocate for continuous process improvement.
Experience in Aerospace Industry is a plus

Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.
Responsible for developing, executing, and managing validation activities for utility systems in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
This role focuses on ensuring the qualification, performance, and reliability of critical utility systems, including but not limited to water systems, compressed air, and HVAC.
The ideal candidate will have experience in utilities validation and a thorough understanding of GMP regulations.
Conduct utilities qualification activities such as Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ).
Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques, as well as production yields for existing products.
Integrates equipment and material capabilities to meet process module target specifications and technology target specifications.
Reviews product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules.
Interacts with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.
May develop and conduct statistical analysis or recommend additions to document work. Leads the innovation, development, and/or optimization of new manufacturing concepts, processes, and procedures for transfer to manufacturing operations.
This can include scouting and feasibility work, material selection, process and equipment selection, tooling fixture and equipment installation, and assessment of inputs, outputs, and alignment to requirements.
Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques, including the measurement systems.
Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

**JOB SUMMARY:**
+ Working within the Avnet Centralized Support organization, the Avnet Marvell Applications Engineer will act as the technical lead for Marvell's switching, PHY, and processor SoC products, with a focus on the hardware aspects required to successfully use those products. This individual will serve as a resident expert and technical support resource for Avnet's customer base.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Include (but are not limited to) the following:
+ Thoroughly understand all major components of Marvell networking products and how they should be used, staying abreast and trained on Marvell's Switching, Processor, PHY and other product portfolios
+ Responsible for understanding the technical requirements/specifications of the customer and architecting an optimum Marvell based device solution.
+ Participate in field investigations of complex HW/SW issues and replicate them in Marvell lab using Marvell reference designs and hardware / software tools.
+ Work closely with FAEs to provide software and system level hardware technical support to customers including Linux BSP, U-boot boot loader, device drivers, and board design debug issues.
+ Perform schematic reviews.
+ Identify, analyze, and resolve issues/bugs reported by customers utilizing low level debuggers and boot sequencing
+ Assist customers with feature implementation from an API, system architecture or platform level.
+ Act as technical liaison between the Avnet FAE and Marvell applications engineering teams for issue escalation and resolution
+ Participate in Marvell AE training events. Prepare and train FAE's and/or customers.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Experience with embedded system hardware (Network SOC's, switches, PHYs, SerDes, PCIe, XAUI, SGMII, DDR, etc)
+ Experience programming boot devices such as (IP/NAND) Flash, EEPROMs
+ Working knowledge of peripherals such as Flash devices (NAND/eMMC/SPI), SDIO, HS USB, GE, Serial, I2C, SPI, etc.
+ Experience debugging with protocol analyzers (e.g. Wireshark) and Ethernet Traffic Generators/Testers (e.g. IXIA)
+ Strong Ethernet networking background, including TSN, AVB, IEEE 1588, TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, DHCP, ICMP, etc.
+ Team attitude, but also ability to work independently for extended periods of time.
+ Some travel to customer sites may be required.
+ Ability to work effectively under pressure. Strong time management and task switching skills are necessary as you may be working on multiple customer problems at a time.
+ Work is performed without appreciable direction using independent judgment and discretion. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and priorities. Work may be reviewed at a high level from a relatively long-term perspective, for desired results.
+ Previous Applications / Field Applications Engineering experience a plus.
