As a Nuclear Reactors Engineer, youll be responsible for researching, designing, maintaining, operating and regulating the nuclear reactors and power plants that drive the most advanced fleet of submarines and aircraft carriers on Earth. Bruker Daltonics, a leading manufacturer of mass spectrometry instrumentation, software, and accessories, has an immediate opening for an On-Site Service Engineer based in our Billerica, MA demonstration facility.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain optimal performance for fleet of Mass Spectrometers, HPLC and nano LC instrumentation located in the Billerica, MA demonstration facility.
  • Perform on the job training in-house for latest maintenance protocols with Field Engineers complete with certification and validation of performance.
  • Organize and prioritize schedule in accordance with application scientist instrumentation needs.
  • Perform installation of new systems, requalification of used systems, preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Communicate and work closely with Service and Support Center, Regional Service Management and Applications Specialists
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Biotech, Biology or Chemistry related fields or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience diagnosing and repairing mass spectrometers.
  • Experience troubleshooting HPLC and nano LC required.
  • Proven knowledge of analog electronics, high voltage circuitry/circuits, laser technology.
  • Experience with GLP and working in a regulated environment.
  • Strong technical skills involving analytical instrumentation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines within a customer-focused work environment.
  • May require lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, and squatting and working in laboratory environments.
  • Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing.

The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $80,200.00 and $129,500.00 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position.
