Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
1. Demonstrates an understanding of the components of the project management plan (PMP) including the project scope management plan, procurement plan, environmental plan, time management plan, financial plan, quality management and safety plans and risk management plan to ensure successful project execution. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the change management process.
2. Develops a procurement schedule and integrates it with the project CPM schedule. Procures necessary material and equipment. Coordinates submittals with other trades. Reviews all submittals for compliance with the contract documents.

Minimum Job Requirements
1. An advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., plus in depth
understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units, is required.
2. Four year construction related degree or equivalent technical training and related experience, plus a minimum of three to four years of similar construction engineering experience.
3. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines. Should have the skill/ability to supervise and/or train Field Engineer positions if so required.

Job Description
The Accelerator Engineer supports the operation and maintenance of accelerators and related experimental and production equipment at the Idaho Accelerator Center. Responsibilities include: repairing, operating, upgrading and routine maintenance of all accelerators and accelerator support equipment at the IAC. The accelerator engineer uses hand tools, power tools and various diagnostic equipment and must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. The accelerator engineer position is very physically active and moves around the entire laboratory including into the accelerator halls multiple times per day. The accelerator engineer works with electronic power supplies and equipment that can produce lethal voltages and currents. The accelerator engineer must be able to use a computer with standard business software (spreadsheets) and applications (labview and equivalent data collection or interpretation programs). The accelerator engineer works with people and supports research faculty, students and laboratory visitors from national labs, universities and the private sector. The accelerator engineer is trained as a radioactive materials worker and will work with radioactive producing machines and may handle radioactive materials. The accelerator engineer has a strong knowledge of basic electronics, trouble shooting, mechanical concepts, and diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes, VOMs, and similar equipment. An accelerator engineer becomes strongly proficient in very high vacuum systems, electronics, control systems, and high power microwave systems.

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Research Design Engineer to work in our Material Acquisition &Research Engineering department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off. Research design engineers are responsible for designing research equipment for advanced reactor technologies. Typical designs are mostly mechanical in nature and a first-of-its-kind concept. The experiment design engineer is responsible for creating engineering deliverables, drawings and calculations, to meet program objectives.
Responsibilities Include:
* Use design methodologies, technologies, and processes which are best practice for the technical discipline to develop and define a design, and to validate that the design meets defined requirements.
* Develop physics-based mathematical models of mechanical, chemical, and electrical systems to support and verify design.
* Maintain familiarity with and technical understanding of codes and standards applicable to the discipline.
* Document the design (controlled and approved models, drawings, specifications, design descriptions) to establish conformance with design requirements and applicable codes and standards.
* Establish testing, inspection, and quality requirements to ensure technical features important to design functions are maintained.
* Oversee or otherwise ensure that fabrication, construction, assembly, and procurement are done in accordance with the design.
* Develop and maintain the assigned systems/equipment. Perform calculations related to the specifications of project, including analysis and evaluation of location, material resources, and mechanical design.

Minimum Requirements:
* Level 2: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field and 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field.

The Systems Engineer (Windows) will responsible for engineering, design, integration, deployment, testing, certification, patching, addressing interoperability issues, not only of the base Windows operating system, but for all support libraries, components and application dependencies.
Responsibilities and experience of the Systems Engineer (Windows) may include:
* Design, implement and provide ongoing support of the Windows Infrastructure.
* Serve as the expert for all Windows environments.
* Engineer, integrate, design and deploy various Windows components and expert knowledge in Active Directory, Group Policy, digital certificates, multi factor Integration, DNS and DHCP.
