Also responsible for producing drum quantities of commercial components when required. Responsibilities * From R&D and Process Development bench scale studies prepare and order pilot plant equipment to simulate plant process conditions in support of the commercialization of new products. * Implement and support Afton methodology in the pilot plant for delivering R&D technologies to the internal or external customer with a focus on PSM (process safety management), customer satisfaction, process robustness and product quality. * Schedule and coordinate pilot plant trials with the Process Development SBU Specialists. * Lead the pilot plant JSA (job safety analysis) team. * Schedule personnel, raw materials and shipment of finished goods. * Provide leadership in matters of safety, taking personal responsibility for a safe working environment and for following and promoting established safety policies and procedures in the pilot plant. * Document the pilot plant schedule and process work on the Process Development SharePoint site. * Assure ISO documentation is maintained on all pilot plant activities. * Assume responsibility for the maintenance and trouble shooting of the pilot plant equipment and/or instrumentation. * Provide training for chemical operators whenever they are required for production of commercial material or needed to provide two people for batch production. Virtual tutors will work with groups of up to 3 students virtually during the early evening hours. In addition, they will be expected to check in briefly with parents at least two times over the course of the program. Please see below for a sketch of the schedule and expected time commitment. Job Description Purpose The Flight Engineer reports to the Director of Aviation Maintenance and is responsible for flying on corporate aircraft during international travel, will provide technical expertise during in-flight and AOG situations, along with tending to the comfort and safety needs of passengers while conducting appropriate cabin management practices. The Flight Engineer will have a solid understanding of on-board communication systems to include satellite TV, satellite internet, and Iridium phone systems. Capability Unit Metrea Strategic Mobility (MSM) operates a fleet of KC-135 aircraft, offering an air-to-air refueling service that seamlessly, safely, and professionally integrates into military aviation training and operations. Position Summary Pilots-in-command (PICs) are aircraft commanders aboard Metrea Strategic Mobility's (MSM) KC-135 tanker aircraft. Role and Responsibilities * Command a crew of 3 while responding to a variety of emergency and non-emergency scenarios. * Conduct procedurally correct and expeditious pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections, checklists, and documentation. * Maintain Situational Awareness (SA) and use Crew Resource Management (CRM) throughout all phases of flight. * Adhere to company Flight Operation Procedures (FOPs), Ground Operation Procedures (GOPs), FAA regulations, and Safety Notices. * Maintain all currencies, qualifications, and advanced systems knowledge related to the MSM KC-135 tanker fleet. * All other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience Education: * Bachelor's degree required Experience: * 100 hours of flight time in KC-135 Aircraft * 1000 total hours (with the military conversion rate of 1 military hour equal to 1.2 civilian hours) * KC-135 MPRS Experience * US Air Force Instrument/Qualification, KC-135 check-ride in the last year * Prefer US Air Force Instrument/Qualification, KC-135 check-ride in the previous 12 months * KC-135R IP/EP experience in the previous 51 months * KC-135 Block 30 experience Skills: * Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance. * Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
