Position Summary:
Provide direct patient care under the guidelines and protocols provided by the UNMH Rapid Response Medical Director. Operate within the scope of practice as defined by the New Mexico Bureau of Emergency Medical Services along with any approved UNMH special skills. Function as a patient advocate. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric Age Groups.
Detailed responsibilities:
* PATIENT CARE - Provide basic life support up to advanced life support to include defibrillation/cardio version, oral/nasal endotracheal intubation, medication administration, needle thoracotomy, surgical cricothyrotomy, deep suctioning, interosseous catheter Insertion, perform/interpret 12-lead EKG's and chemical blood glucose tests
* PATIENT CARE - Perform patient care; work autonomously to stabilize patients and guide care until providers arrive; triage emergency care (outpatient response on hospital property to emergency department); stabilize and/or prepare patient for transport; document all patient care activities; assessment of test results and laboratory values for purpose of adjusting patient therapy; respond to hospital non-patient emergencies
* PATIENT CARE - Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, topical application, sublingual and intravenous administration of medications via the seven rights; provide for nebulized drug administration; document and communicate clinical findings
* ENVIRONMENT - Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with Hospitals standards
* EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES - Monitor and stock supply areas; maintain equipment as appropriate
* MEETINGS - Attend education sessions, department and other meetings as appropriate

The OSP Inspector - FTTH is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and compliance of construction activities associated with Fiber to the Home (FTTH) projects. This role involves monitoring the deployment of fiber optic infrastructure, including aerial and underground installations, drop cable placement, and customer premise connections. The OSP Inspector works closely with contractors, engineers, and project managers to ensure that all work adheres to project specifications, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect FTTH construction activities, including mainline and distribution fiber, service drops, and termination points.
Verify installation of fiber optic cables, splice enclosures, cabinets, handholes, and pedestals per project specifications.
Oversee directional boring, trenching, and pole attachment processes to ensure compliance with plans and local regulations.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct field inspections to confirm the integrity of fiber installations, proper labeling, and clean splice connections.
Monitor adherence to safety protocols, including traffic control and worksite protection during construction.
Coordination and Communication:
Serve as the liaison between contractors, internal teams, and customers to address issues and maintain project timelines.
Communicate progress and escalate challenges to the OSP Manager or Project Manager.
Regulatory Compliance:

Vighter is recruiting healthcare professionals (HCPs) to conduct basic screening assessments and provide healthcare services to individuals detained by Customs and Border Protection (CBP). HCPs work administratively under the Regional Program Manager and Regional Deputy Program Manager while performing healthcare services under the medical direction of the National Medical Director and Physician Supervisors who collaborate with CBP's Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO). Healthcare is delivered in accordance with approved medical protocols and in compliance with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) directives.
Vighter's HCPs work alongside uniformed CBP Agents/Officers at numerous locations near the border in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and Florida. The medical staff must be capable of providing health care services for persons of all ages, to include infants, children, adults, and pregnant females. Candidates must be comfortable working in a detention setting. Services may be provided in a field setting with minimal facilities, a soft-sided (tent-type) facility, or a secure detention facility, such as a US Border Patrol Station. Education, Licensure/Certification & Experience:
Must have a minimum of one year of experience in direct patient care as a licensed/certified EMT.

The CBP mission runs 24/7/365 to protect our country and as such shift schedules for HCPs include: day, night, weekday, weekend, and holidays.

This is a travel position. Work will be conducted throughout the state and the candidate must be willing to travel to any worksite in the state based solely on the needs of the company.
Travel candidates can be expected to work at alternate worksites within 50 miles of their Temporary Duty location.

Position Summary:
Provide direct, non-invasive, and routine patient care and related support services within an in-patient or out-patient environment. Interview patients and take vital signs. Perform activities of daily living (ADLs). Maintain supplies and equipment. Delivers dirty instrument trays. Transport patients. Assist orientation of new staff members. Position patients unable to do self- care. Assist patients with prescribed exercise regimen; perform routine tube care; change catheter bags; collect non sterile specimens; perform oral suctioning; perform I&O including documentation of bowel & bladder function. Observe patients. Operate Hoyer lift; perform daily heights and weights. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups.
Detailed responsibilities:
* PATIENT OBSERVATION - Observe patient to ensure their safety and well being; report observations to Charge Nurse or appropriate designee
* PATIENT CARE - Provide basic patient care; take and record vital signs to include temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure and intake-output measurements
* PATIENT CARE - Assist with activities of daily living (ADL): meals, ambulation, hygiene, linen change and toileting as instructed
* PATIENT CARE - Maintain therapeutic plan of care and minute to minute care of patient who is at extreme risk to self or others
* PATIENT CARE - Complete documentation as required on the Electronic Medical Record
* PATIENT CARE - Complete specific skills listed in the "University of New Mexico, Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Specific Functions" Matrix
* DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops
* PATIENT SAFETY 1 - Follow patient safety-related policies, procedures and protocols
* PATIENT SAFETY 2 - Demonstrate proactive approach to patient safety by seeking opportunities to improve patient safety through questioning of current policies and processes
* PATIENT SAFETY 3 - Identify and report/correct environmental conditions and/or situations that may put a patient at undue risk
* PATIENT SAFETY 4 - Report potential or actual patient safety concerns, medical errors and/or near misses in a timely manner
* PATIENT SAFETY 5 - Encourage patients to actively participate in their own care by asking questions and reporting treatment or situations that they don't understand or may "not seem right"

* High School or GED Equivalent

Education specialization:

* CNA or Cert EMTB (ICU & ED) or 1 semester accredit nurs pgm
Experience:

Nonessential:
Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo 6 months patient care experience
Credentials:
Essential:
* CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days
Physical Conditions:
Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
