General Statement of Job: The Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B) works with the Transportation Director, Operations and Logistics Manager and EMT-P as part of the inter-facility transportation service for the Health Care District. Duties include driving the ambulance to transport patients between facilities, offering basic medical support, working as part of the transport team and running BLS calls. Essential Functions: Has a basic understanding of stress response and methods to ensure personal well-being. Has an understanding of body substance isolation.
