Specific skills include:

Job Purpose

Job Overview:
The Field Service Technician for Ingersoll Rand's Compression Systems and Services Division serves customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating and/or Centac and ECC air compressors, along with additional compressed air system components. You will use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of compressed air equipment. In addition, you need to have knowledge of all operations and parts manuals associated with all equipment.
Responsibilities:
In addition to performing preventative maintenance on Ingersoll Rand compressed air equipment, our service techs will interact with customers to address existing and unanticipated equipment concerns. Collaborate with Service Coordinator on ordering and gathering parts and supplies necessary to complete installations and repairs. All service technicians will assist and train apprentices and Field Service Technicians.
Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers.
Provides technical assistance on equipment pre-commissioning and start-ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems. Including “hands-on” work to assure equipment operates to customer's requirement with limited guidance from the Master Technician.
Increases Ingersoll Rand customers awareness of how Ingersoll Rand products, services, and solutions, such as Preventative Maintenance, Diagnostics, Audits and Leak Detection can benefit their operations.
Requirements:
2 years+ experience of troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
Every service technician is required to be on-call, but you will not be on-call for the first 90 days to get used to the schedule. This is shared with every service tech, and it requires being available 24/7 for the 1-week duration where you will go to customer sites. On-call weeks can be as often as every 4 weeks or greater than 4 weeks, but that will be determined by the hiring manager.
This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move weight limits in line with the safety policy.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Core Competencies:
Able to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
Advanced network systems installations (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).
Basic vibration troubleshooting.
Basic Air Quality (system compressor/dryer - air treatment).
Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and other basic computer usage. Working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad) and network bases.
Maintain proper business travel practices in a cost-efficient manner.
Preferences:
Industrial air compressor maintenance & knowledge.
EPA Certification.

Pay Range:

SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for performing a variety of related duties including equipment installation troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance in order to ensure the property and grounds are meeting the company's established standards and any applicable laws. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Complete all maintenance work order requests
Monitor and maintain all building systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Boilers, etc.) and perform needed repairs as assigned
Assist the Property Manager in completing unit-to-unit inspections
Perform all site-level preventative maintenance duties assigned by the Zone Building Engineer or Property Manager
Communicate with Zone Building Engineer and the Maintenance Technician I regarding major site repairs, remodels, and capital projects and work with them directly, when needed
Work collaboratively with vendor teams on identified maintenance projects
Work with Property Manager and peer group to maintain an adequate inventory of hand tools, parts, and supplies in order to maintain a complete workshop area
Responsible for alerting the Property Manager to any unusual circumstances or high priority issues that need immediate attention
Perform groundskeeping tasks (as needed, based on needs of property)
Responsible for removal of snow from site walkways and driveways during the winter months
Maintain positive and professional manner with all residents, vendors, and the public
Attend relevant training courses and ensure all required certifications are current
Comply with all safety program requirements and work to promote safety in the workplace

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
AA degree or certification in mechanical, HVAC, electrical or industrial maintenance (preferred)
1+ years' experience as a Maintenance Technician in a residential apartment setting or equivalent experience
Knowledge and on-the-job experience in the areas of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, appliance repair, building key systems, lawn irrigation systems, and pool and sauna operations
Requires a Certified Pool Operators License, Special Boiler's License, and Type II Refrigerant Certification (within 6 months of hire)
Must have reliable transportation, valid state driver's license and proof of insurance as travel between sites is required

What you will do:
Receive service calls from Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions.
Contact customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems.
Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. to repair equipment.
Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers' Fire & Life Safety systems including SimplexGrinnell.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
Exhibit excellent customer service skills by consistently communicating with the district staff and customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices, such as smart phones and laptop computers
Obtain customer signature upon completed service call assignment.
Participate in a scheduled On-call rotation.
Help to train or mentor others on the service team.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Valid Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter License
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
Overnight travel may be required.
Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems, which will include facilities, unloading, processing, packing and warehouse operations. You will troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment. Working in a safe manner at all times, you will work in a climate controlled maintenance shop and play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements across the plant.
This position will work night shift (7pm-7am) on a rotating weekly schedule with every other weekend off.
Maintenance of plant systems: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation
Electrical work with 120, 220, and 480 volt
Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs
Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators
Repair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipment
Maintain wastewater system, boiler operations, cooling towers, and general building needs
Complete predictive maintenance such as vibration analysis and oil sample collection

JOB DUTIES:
